Overdose - Near overdose experiences.

Pacman just nearly overdosed and he want's to know whether he is out of the woods. Can others please give their experiences of near overdoses to put him mind at rest that he is ok to nod off and he won't just die.

That was scary shit man. Felt like someone was crushing his lungs and his chest is sill killing him

Swim has had this happen to him many times. Swim says for him to feel comfortable he would not want to nod at all. Especially if this is something that happened very recently. Chances are, if it was any time at all since it happened swiy would not be nodding so I would say it is best for swiy to try and keep their eyes open as much as possible. Keep us updated and be careful. Would not want to loose anyone!!!

yup, swim has had that happen. in fact, swim has had toresuscitate friends few times. the important part is to keep your friend from nodding out, and to make sure breathing is regular. other than that, most likely, he/she is out of the woods. this is a good case for the buddy system. usually some mouth to mouth is all one needs.

everyone should learn CPR. it is a good way to avoid explaining bad experiences to EMS, or worse, cops.

Near overdose?

Do you mean feeling off??, turning blue in the lips, bouts of Unconsciousness??.

As overdose normally consists of bouts of unconsciousness, turning blue in the lips, difficulty breathing,etc. If any of these are displayed is advisable to seek imediate medical attention.

As you wrote near overdose, I presume you mean had a large dose and feel off, if that is the right presumstion, then ask your friend to stay awake until he feels totally comfortable in himself and looks and displays normal reactions to everything.

Swim has never had a near overdose, just been smashed or infact overdosed which needed medial attention and got injected with narcan or something similiar and totally recovered within 20 hours, that time stopped breathing , went blue, and needed hospital admission, should anyone display any of those symptoms, medical attention is required asap.

Swim to intoxicated now.. And needs to sleep but he will be back and tell about his (near) OD's. He isn't sure if they were OD or not, but they weren't pleasant ! He had experienced most uppers, downers, prescription drugs and combinations..

Yes, swiyJunkHead, do not let your friend pass out. I understand if you cant keep him awake the entire time but do your best to keep him up as much as possible! Like m&ms said, keep him awake until you are completely comfortable with state that he is in. Like I said before, we dont want to be loosing anyone! Please be careful, I would really hate to see something bad happen. Especially to a friend of a forum member!!!

this has happened to Mr. SWIM twice this week and Mrs. SWIM had to do some slapping around the chops and shouting in his ear. Mr SWIM 's lips were blue and had the gold fish eye thing going on. That was with zero/very low tolerance tho.

wasn't this a problem with Mr. Swim last week also? swim seems to remember swiy posting something similiar.

swim would be really unhappy with this for two reasons: first for selfish reasons - it would ruin swims high if she had to babysit someone else.

secondly - this is not normal, either Mr. Swim is just not meant to be a heroin user or he is doing too much, but either way it sounds too dangerous if this is a constant thing.

Well pacman is feeling much better today but that was some scary shit. He knew he was overdosing or very close to it because his breathing was extremely shallow and it felt as though his chest was being compressed and he felt incredibly weak. It's a miracle he never passed out to be honest and if he had it would have been good night campers cos he was by himself.

He is currently waiting to be approved for rehab. That would have been quite ironic had he died last night when just about to go into rehab!!

Yes swim has before and having someone there to talk to swiy and keep him awake helps unless its serious then go straight to the hospital. None of that bullshit throwing them in a cold shower or anything else that swiy might think would work. If just making them keep talking to swiy and trying to make them stay awake isn't working, then hospital is the right option.

I have od'd about 3-4 times now since i starting using last year.........
One time i was with others whom called an ambo on me - which i was pissed about (but lucky my health insurance covered it)
I look at the situation of me od'eing righto its like this I'll eventually came around as The Big guy up there doint want me up with him"
So now i try and have it by myself so that im not woken up whilst in snoozy land

Hi please have a look in the rules about self incrimination... As its illegal to use drugs and no body here uses anything... But we do tell story's about swim (some one who isn't me) or if you dream something let us know.... Even my dog tells me story's ! Just read the rules its important.

Swim thought swiy was taking waaay too much in each hit.

Glad to hear swiy's ok though. Swim too has been in that situation, essentially it happens to us all sooner or later. Wish swiy all the best.

maybe try cutting down on the amount in each .8 in one is alot bro. but glad SWIY ok, SWIM only smokes it so its near impossible to OD, but the only time SWIM has come close was when he had taken about 90mls of methadone, then smoked about a gram of heroin while waiting for the methadone as he was clucking hard trying to cold turkey then thought fuck it!!, he was violently ill and sweating, couldnt breath properly and was in a bad way and people had to keep him from nodding off. it wasnt pleasant at all but must be hard to get like that from just smoking. the methadone was to blame mainly SWIM thinks, or actually the combination.

SWIM has maybe come close to OD, but always shoots with a buddy... and they look out for each other.

SWIM is thinking of getting a lot tonight by himself... first time without a buddy... and has been thinking of using higher dosages. Maybe not the best idea... but SWIM will try to becareful

Well this is the thing pacman shoots by himself and if he had collapsed the other day unless his father heard him fall down (unlikely as he was in bed) it would have been game over.

SWIM shot up alone yesterday... luckly didn't do too much as he had to drive to pick up his parents from work

Tonight... or even now he is thinking of doing some, but his father is home. Hmmm
