Combinations - Codeine + Cannabis

I have a lot of questions on this one.

SWIM's parakeet just took some Cherratussin AC (yeah SWIM knows it has Guaifenesin) and took about 60 mL. First things first - was that a good dosage to get high? Its been about 15 minutes and SWIM's parakeet feels kind of warm and a bit numb but thats it.

To deal with the inevitable nausea SWIM's parakeet is planning on smoking a joint. Has anyone done this with bad results or is the golden rule in place - marijuana makes everything better?

Lastly, I know medically it shouldn't be done, but would SWIM's parakeet get a better trip by drinking alcohol as well? Or would this lead to a bad trip?

SWIM's parakeet had a spliff and feels great. Doesn't know if he feels the Cherratussin. He thinks hes going to take more.

Cannabis is always a good substance to take to increase the effects of other drugs. SWIM always smokes bud when she does opium or codeine and to SWIM, the high isn't anywhere near as good without bud. In SWIMs opinion bud enhances everything.

Alcohol though is a completley bad idea. Alcohol and opiates are both respiritory(sp) depressants and both together is an OD waiting to happen. SWIM had a couple of drinks before with some opium and to be honest it took most of the euphoria away for SWIM. If SWIY does decide to drink then it is always best to start of small with one weak drink and see how SWIY feels to avoid OD.

Thanks - SWIM will avoid the alcohol this time around. If SWIM were with friends he might take the risk and try it, but for now this is fine.

Codeine and cannabis work wonderfully together. Codeine makes you feel warm and fuzzy and a little bit of weed gives it that something else. Excellent combination.

60mg's of codeine is certainly not high enough for a recreational dose. Most people need 120mg + to get any substantial feelings. SWIM personally needs 200mg to get him going (no tolerance). It varies from person to person, your best bet is slowly increasing the dosage until you find something that works for you. The hard part is finding the dose that gives you the best high without too severe side effects (such as nausea - but this can be fixed by lying down).

For the sake of your organs/bodily fluid excretion levels SWIM advises Cold Water Extracting Codeine for SWIY's next codeine usage. Have a look on the codeine forums for a guide.

In regards to alcohol, SWIM personally feels that there is not too much danger if the dosages of Codeine and alcohol are kept low. Take your usual codeine dose and supplement if with a few drinks. Don't drink to get drunk like you usually do, drink as a supplement and to potentiate the codeine. If you do this you shouldn't have any real worries. SWIM has drunk small amounts (2-3 beers) whilst on Codeine and marijuana and had a very nice time

Swim has found that marijuana is quite pleasant to combine with opiates, and would recommend it. Also, the first time Swim tried hydrocodone, he drank on it. He decided to limit himself to 2 beers. The vicodin + low dose of alcohol was actually very pleasing, but more sedating than regular opiates, keep that in mind. Swim would not recommend more than 2 drinks the first time if you decide to do this combo.

60ml of Cheratussin AC would be 120mg of codeine phosphate and that won't get you high unless you are hiper sensative to codeine
