SWIM is worried. Extreme numbness.
Well SWIM was sitting in the car the other day on his way fishing, he just ripped a fat bowl and a little while after, he noticed the left half of his bottom lip was starting to go numb. It kept getting worse, and worse, and felt really fat, like he just got those novocaine shots in his mouth from the dentist. My heart was beating slow and with a weird rhythm, SWIM now thinks they were palpitations. He also felt a little disassociated guess you could say. Things just didn't seem, or look quite right. SWIM really started freaking out at this point, he was getting weird pains all around his body, his feet, his left arm, his torso especially right under the left rib cage, a weird feeling around his neck and abdomen areas that would come and go. His breathing got uncomfortably constricted and had to remind himself to take deep breaths as it helped him gain his grips a little bit. He had tightness in his chest (does the tightness have anything to do with blood pressure?) and all of the usual side effects he gets from adderall and smoking pot. At one point he was talking to his friend and his mind went totally blank for about 10-15 seconds and had no idea what they were just talking about.
He was sure he would die. He thought heart attack, an allergic reaction, or a panic attack. But he was so freaked out, he was doubting it was a panic attack, which generally happens with bad panic attacks, and this has by far been the worst episode yet. If it even is a panic attack.
Once he got out of the car and got to unloading the boat, he didnt notice it for the most part. Except for the numb lip again, after a few good hours fishing, and it had spread down his neck and out on to his cheek, but none of the pains were there anymore. just light headed when he stood up, which happens most of the time now. Once he got back in the car and they were heading home they ripped another bowl, and it came back. So now he knew that the pains had to have something to do with marijuana and these little panic attacks SWIM has been getting for about a month or so. He has been on Adderall for 2 months and heavily abusing it about the last 1 1/2 weeks.
Now he thought an allergic reaction because of his breathing and lip feeling fat and numb, although it didn't look fat or swollen. Plus, wouldn't he have had a reaction the first time he took a lot of adderall?
The one thing that worries him is that yesterday he took no adderall and the numbness was still there. Not as bad, but definitely noticeable. Today, he took 2 vyvanse 70 mg and snorted a 15 Mg XR, since he is finding it very difficult to just say no when his drug mind is nagging away, even with the thought of impending doom. Taking shorter and shorter breaks each time he takes them, also the doses have gone from 3 a time to 6. Thankfully he only has 5 more, so he can chill the fuck out for a bit. He is planning on saving them for work on saturday, hopefully he can hang on. It is amazing how much he craves them now. These are definitely not something to fuck around with, unless SWIY's are very strong minded, which SWIM most certainly is not, or just make sure they keep it fairly spaced out.
ANYWAY, the numbness is there today, its 2 in the morning of the 4th day, and its still there. It is pretty bad. SWIM could probably bite a chunk out of his lip and hardly feel it. It may be worse today because he took more amphs, but SWIM does not know. He read on the symptoms of adderall and it said if you experience any numbness or hard time breathing or irregular heartbeat it said seek medical attention right away, but it also said that about fainting, and heart palpitations and all that shit.
SWIM is afraid to ask his doctor because he does not want to be taken off the med. A pretty shitty situation. But if any SWIY's know what this could possibly be, and how serious this is, it would be great. Thanks, and sorry SWIM rambled.
