Re: A Band That Reminds You Of H

Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Idk why

SWIM and his girlfriend will go score a sack, get high in the wal-mart parking lot next to where he picks up, and then cruise home feeling good listening to music. Whenever he puts on Red Hot Chili Peppers he just kinda zones out, stares out the window and for some reason really enjoys it.
Now whenever he hears them it reminds him of getting high.

Re: A Band That Reminds You Of H

swim would say Pete Doherty acoustic solo session stuff or Libertines/Babyshambles but the acoustic stuff swim loves, especially with all the sounds in the background like smoking H and police sirens and mobile phones going off.

swim is listening to the new eminem right now and it sounds fantastic.

Re: A Band That Reminds You Of H

Check my band, the songs arn't so influenced yet but there is a tune im working on thats more melodic called 'darkness' which is about the subject and experiences with it.

I cant post links because i havent been on this site long at all, but the bands name is Black Diamond Jaguars and our myspace is simply / and that name after myspace dot com.

We're sleazy hard rock, not sure how much it will remind you of your favourite passtime. Bands like Motley Crue and that genre remind me coz thats what i listen to when im fixing.

hope u guys check it out and like it, thanks!

It was a very nice Band with a Hard-Core Rock`n Roll attitude

Nope, he's alive. He was in Velvet Revolver until 2008 and then STP got back together for a bit. He got arrested for a DUI and had to go through an 18 month program for it. He has been off H since 2002., but STP will always make Swiv think of smack. Not that that's a bad thing. Love their stuff!

Re: A Band That Reminds You Of H

swim thinks that the bands that remind swim of h are the bands that have heroin users in them,so quite a lot,in fact too many to mention.just to add to east of eden,i'm 42 years old but a massive fan of eminem, pure genius.

Short-lived supergroup Mad Season. Featuring members of Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and The Screaming Trees, their one album Above features a range of tunes both mellow and agitated, like the opiate experience in a sense.

The Velvet Underground is the obvious choice here (SmokeNmirrors mentioned Lou Reed, but Reed's band deserves mentioning more than Uncle Lou himself). The Sex Pistols, too.
