Anxiety disorders and drugs

For people who have anxiety disorders, like generalized anxiety, etc, how did each drug SWIY use affect SWIY? What drugs relieved the symptoms or made them worse? How do SWIYs deal with the worrying and not being able to use substances to relieve the worrying about everyday problems? Any SWIYs find it unfair that people who have physical pain or a physical illness can obtain drugs to relieve their pain and their conditions are taken more seriously than someone who has mental issues, who are given non euphoric drugs with awful side effects that take months to even start to do anything? It seems like there's a stigma, how if someone who has physical pain or illness and uses a drug to relieve it, people understand right away and are symphathetic, but if someone has mental pain from an anxiety disorder or mood disorder and uses a drug to relieve it, people don't understand and they are thought of negatively. People are much less symphathetic toward people who have anxiety disorders self-medicating than if someone had any type of physical condition. How have different mind altering substances, whether legal or illegal affected SWIYs anxiety disorders or worrying? Just thought that there could be a topic related to drugs and anxiety disorders, SWIM wasn't sure which was the right section to place it.
