Wierd dreams?

SWIM made some pod tea and shortly after went to bed. SWIM is a bit depressed lately over this girl....and has been for a long time.

SWIM fell asleep very fast and had a dream of that girl that SWIM was with her and it was really great....do you think the opium could have enhanced this? SWIM felt badly when he woke up thoe.

Re: Wierd dreams?

swim can only talk from his own experience's with codiene and morphine but he has definitely found his dreams more vivid and unusual with the use of this drugs and would'nt be surprised if it contributed to SWIY's dream.....

how does the tea usaully effect SWIY's dreams??

Re: Wierd dreams?

SWIM has found that opiates do lead to very vivid dreams, or maybe he just remembers them better *shrug*

Either way, when he's not got opiates in his system, SWIM tends not to dream much, or doesn't remember it well or at all.

Last week, SWIM had made himself some pod tea and laid on his sofa watching Red Dwarf (he like comedy when he's high). After four or five hours, SWIM fell asleep, and had an astonishingly vivid dream, also about a girl he lost.

SWIM suspects that what with morphine/codeine making you all relaxed and turning your brain into a big fluffy marshmallow, your sub-concious leaks out with far greater ease than normal. Ok fine, that sounds like pseudo-science and it is.

However, I think there's certainly a correlation between being so relaxed you hardly notice if you slip into sleep, and having vivid, life like dreams.

Dude, SWIM thinks that opiates can cause dreams to be more remembered, and more vivid, and if there was something bumming you out as well, it seems to be likely that all that came together to make a girl wander through your head.

Re: Wierd dreams?

Hmm, good to know that SWIM isn't the only one experiencing these dreams.

SWIM will try to refrain from looking at pictures of her before going to bed, since that may of triggered it.

Re: Wierd dreams?

SWIM suggests reading/listening to/watching things that are light hearted and don't have bad memories associated with them.

Although it is kinda bottling things up, when SWIY is all high, his mental denfences are a bit weak, and reliving bad things while you sleep sucks.

SWIM has been trying to get all the nasty ex-stuff out of his system while he's sober, bitching to friends ad nausiam, then using his O time to really enjoy himself, and has been quite sucessful.

Hope stuff sorts itself out man.
