Life progress of drug use
Cowboy been thinking of this for a while now, has any other members ever notice that their drug of choice has changed over the years? Back when cowboy was younger and starting a career, he noticed his drug was speed and weed, and he stuck with the two for nearly the whole time he was working. Now as he has aged somewhat and not working, he has noticed his drug of choice has dramatically changed to benzos and a little weed. Now, he just want to sit back and chill instead of rushing to and fro.
Any comments?? |

Re: Life progress of drug use
Yes swim is the same first all the uppers and downers (everything basically) then when he had more choices he would use more uppers. Now when he is working in a normal job he prefers downers. But still heroine and yaba are his favorites even the are the opposite. But he wouldn't do any amphetamine/methamphetamine without downers. And swim over done coke... And doesn't like it anymore !

Re: Life progress of drug use
yeah. when swim was a teenager, her favourites were acid and weed, then a few years down the track it became speed and weed. from 19-24 her drug of choice was heroin, and she started to smoke weed less and less, then it became methadone and she stopped smoking weed without even realizing it tbh.
then her fav was ecstasy for quite a few months, then it became meth. using drugs is more or less a distant memory now, however she is most fond of methamphetamines and ecstasy. she has a strong distaste for opiates now, this might be a result of her "survivor" mind frame though. however in saying that, methamphetamine and ecstasy would make her feel like shit on comedown, so this is why she doesnt take them now.

Re: Life progress of drug use
no real change for swims turtle- always has been and probably always will be, psychedelics and entheogens. Really the only change has been the assortment available- when he was a young turtle it was pretty much just LSD and mushrooms, but has greatly expanded both with the increase of available chemicals and a combo of the increase of availability of natural plant based substances along with an increasing culture of their use.

Re: Life progress of drug use
Yeah I did notice that. A few years ago swim was big into rolls and lots of buds, but tops were the doses. Now that he's older hes chilled on the beans and tabs, and got into xanex and those itchy pills because his brain felt fried and he just wanted to get messed up on friday.
He used to be crazy almost with some stuff, like rolling all night going to get an iced coffee and going to school. Doses 2/3+ times a week. He just can't really do it anymore with classes and saves it for the shows were he can binge in the lot haha. |

Re: Life progress of drug use
Interesting thread. In SWIM's case, booze and weed have always been a staple part of the diet with the occasional MDMA or LSD session. SWIM hasn't actually touched either in a while but did go through patches of time where he was doing ecstasy regularly and there was that glorious summer of magic mushrooms until the damn government banned them. He had been delving into ketamine quite recently but is no longer a fan of it. It seems to have outstayed its welcome as source of amusement.
Not really sure what's next. Psychedelics need to be thoroughly revisited as it seems that something is missing from life without them. Not using them is like not being laid in ages. Life's monotony can overwhelm you and you need to that hallucinogenic reminder every now and then. As for the distant future, who knows? DMT is something of the holy grail when it comes to things SWIM wants to try but he's not sure if he'll ever attain it. Iboga might be a hell of an experience, probably a once off, but SWIM wouldn't mind giving it a shot. Reserach chemicals are also unchartered territory and they do sound very promising. Again however, actually getting a connection is nigh on impossible as of right now. Just as long as SWIM doesn't convert to uppers, benzos or heavy opiates he should be fine. |

Re: Life progress of drug use
Teen years: weed and Mini-Thins. Lots and lots of both.
College years: weed and lortabs. Smoked 12+ times a day, doing 1 or 2 'tabs whenever they were available. Adult years-present: poppy tea, benzedrex, and mescaline cacti most frequently, with weed and Lortabs a close second. The changes are based on what swim has access to and what agrees with her body chemistry. If swim had access to things like Adderall, Oxycodone, and others, she'd undoubtedly favor those above the ones mentioned above

Re: Life progress of drug use
for swim's early drug career it was all about weed, 3-5 bowls daily and drinking on the weekends.
now swim really enjoys amps they help him be more of a productive person. he cant stand weed now and never drinks anymore bc it makes him feel so depressed. weed went from his favorite thing in the world to dead last. you would have to pay swim for him to smoke weed. tho he still likes to examine the buds and he loves the smell. |
