Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
Instead of using alot of high proof alcohol could one use Listerine
brand mouthwash (21% alcohol)? Or maybe methanol and Listerine? I know minty fresh LSA goo would be way cool. ![]() |

NO NO NO NO ALCOHOL. JESUS CHRIST HOW STUPID CAN YOU PEOPLE BE?!?! if you expose a lysergide to an alchol you will then have an ISOLYSERGIDE. the whole ethanol extraction thing is a MYTH! WATER EXTRACTIONS PEOPLE! (edited) CLEAN WATER! the mediocre amounts of chlorine in tap water are actually more than enough to destroy the mediocre amounts of d-lyserg acid amide present in your seeds.Edited by: allyourbase |

Re: Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
allyourbase have you got proof of this information or is that just pure myth. as far as joe knows and has read up on people have got good results from both methods, although joe doesnt have proof so he is curious to see if you are right. lately joe has been reading up on lsa extraction alot because he is receiving some hbwr seeds and really wants to know what the best way to injest them is. so far a polar/non-polar extraction does sound more apealing to him for reasons only that apparantly it gets rid of much of the assosiated nausia, also reduces the amount that has to be ingested dramaticly. also with the quantity joe is getting he would like a more "pure" expeience and be able to store the alcohol+lsa mix away redily avalable for future easily accessable experiences. the first and only experience he has had left him vomiting 20 minutes later with no effects at all.
also a question for a experienced person out there... most of the non-polar/polar extractions out there say that most of the bad stuff is only taken by a non-polar substance and the good stuff by a polar. why even bother with the non-polar part when that happens??? water apparently works well so why not just soak in alcohol straight away (both being polar) and strain off just for storage reasons (water becomes rancid quicker) |

Re: Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
Swims did both methods when he was a lad. First the non-polar/polar extraction, which didn't work, but it might have been because he used lighter fluid that contains naptha instead of actual petroleum ether (hard to come by).
The second time he ground the seeds well and left them in water in the fridge overnight. He drank the liquid, and being his first trip, felt it quite heavily; comparable to LSD. But, due to the fact that he couldn't enjoy it because of the stabbing pains in his stomach the WHOLE time, he will never repeat the process without extraction. The dark shell on the seed is what contains the bad stuff. This asswipe used Morning Glory seeds, so there were hundreds of seeds to crush. If one were to use HBWR, they would only need around 8-10 seeds since they are much bigger. I'd imagine that someone could scrape most of the outside shell off with a sharp knife on these seeds considering they are larger. |

Re: Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
scraping the outside layer lightly joe has heard is good, apparantly it gets rid of some of the "bad stuff" that can contribute to making people sick, also joe imagines that the outside shell would contain little lsa anyway due to oxidisation and light exposure, so joe thinks it cant hurt. joe wants to try some different methods when the goods arrive to get some closure on this topic and find what works for him. the first on the list tho is to prepare the seeds and soak in 190 proof alcohol for a day (24 hours) in the fridge and get rid of the whole non-polar part completely. joe has based this on the idea that water can make a good experience with the seeds as a tea so the alcohol can only be better at extracting the goods right... plus joes not sure but he doesnt think that it would go rancid as quick as a stored water extract, cause ultimately joe wants to find a way to keep a large extract for further use to avoid having to make a brew each time and have to store the seeds for them to just get older and less active. hes hoping the alcohol could preserve the lsa better than stored seeds, but anyway he'll see soon enough.

Re: Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
Before asking the poster to reply, it often helps to look at the date of the post - 2005 in this case.

Re: Idea for LSA Morning Glory seeds extraction
Swim assumed other people looked at posts for information, like himself. Not just the one who posted it. Didn't know he asked for a reply either.
