Hydrocodone & decreased appetite

According to Wikipedia, decreased appetite is one of the less common side effects of Hydrocodone:

(Actually mentioned in the section for vicodin specifically)

Side effects for Vicodin are most commonly upset stomach, nausea, and altered mental status (eg. dizziness, light headedness). Other more rare side effects include allergic reaction, seizures, clammy skin, hallucinations, severe weakness, dizziness, hyperventilation, unconsciousness, jaundice (yellowing of eyes or skin), unusual fatigue, bleeding, bruising, stomach pain, constipation, dry mouth, decreased appetite, muscle twitches, sweating, hot flashes, itching, tinnitus, hearing loss, decreased urination, and altered sex drive.

The question is how common is this side effect. It would seem to swim that this is a HUGELY beneficial ancillary effect for those in need of appetite suppression. Is there a new 'off-label' use for Vicodin? Let's see if anybody else knows someone that is experiencing this rare side effect.

Re: Hydrocodone & decreased appetite

For swim its the opposite. The only way hydrocodone will decrease swims appetite is if when he stops taking them and goes through withdrawals.
