effects of dilated pupils?

my fave drugs r E and coke, and both make my pupils dilate for hours at a time. biologically, there is a reason for pupils to dilate and shrink... so are we doing any harm to our eyes by forcing the pupils to stay dilated?? not to mention i love staring at bright flashing lights ....

i doubt it has health effects on your eyes, i have never heard of
anybody going blind from doing too much coke or anything. heres what i
was wondeirng about dilated eyes tho. not only e and coke but
practically every other psychoactive dilates your eyes. this wouldnt
make sense in the case of coke or other non hallucinogenic substances,
but in the case of things like mushrooms, e, and dxm, could the dilated
eyes be the reason for the brightness of colors? your eyes dilate when
it is dark out to let in more light, so when a drug causes eye
dilation, would it be letting in extra light and causing colors to
appear more vivid? obviously several drugs which cause eye dilation do
cause colors to look brighter, so does anybody know if it is correlated?

I'm fairly sure it's not the eyes... just the brain.
Colors are still based on their wavelength. Eyes wouldn't change the wavelength of the emanating color, but a mangled brain is prone to misinterpret.

Check it out though and correct me if I'm wrong

If you're in bright light conditions and your pupils are dilated, make sure
you're wearing sunglasses. That's about it.Edited by: radiometer

The action of psycheledics and other substances dilating your pupils doesn't do any harm to them, but staring into bright lights/the sun, or even just being in well lit areas/outsidewhile your eyes are dilated can cause harm to them.

Noticeable eyes from MDMA?

SWIM would like to take some E at his place of work(anxiety reasons). SWIM doesn't want people to notice his eyes. Is there any way to make SWIM's eye's not so huge? Would taking half a pill even do anything?

Re: noticeable?

Title changed:

From the rules:

• Use descriptive Topic Subject. This will help others find what they want to read. Topics with bad Topic subjects may be deleted! - there's nothing more annoying than looking at all those stupid "A stupid question" subject lines. I mean, I'm damn lazy, but how hard is it to type "A stupid question about (insert something here)"? As a rule of thumb, most thread titles should include the full name of the drug discussed.

A rule many tend to forget will cause a mass of warnings soon...Rules are here:

Re: Noticeable eyes from MDMA?

SWIM would not like to take E to work because SWIMs abilities would be impaired and ability to deal with social situations altered, SWIM is convinced he would return one day not on E and remember the tit he had made of himself (also if using it daily tolerance would build up)
SWIM would be really interested in suggestions to stop the eyes expanding rediculessly too. SWIM found the jaw clenching could be fairly successfully avoided by avoiding milk based products for a few days before the roll

E would not be good for anxiety reason's while at work. Xanex or valium would be better.

Wearing sunglasses is the easiest way to cover up dialated pupils.

Re: Noticeable eyes from MDMA?

Eye-doctors use drops that dilate the pupils for certain examinations. Could be the eye-doctor gave one some for such-and-such.

Well SWIM went to work and ate half the pill. SWIM started feeling good and eyes not changed. SWIM then ate half of the half and then so on. SWIM had one of the best days at work in a while. SWIM's eyes were hardly noticeable.

Re: Noticeable eyes from MDMA?

did SWIY ask someone at work who would know about SWIY taking E while at work?

SWIM isn't sure about SWIY's work-related sociality but perhaps there's a friend that shares similar views on substances that SWIY could of asked if his eyes were noticable :P

color lences will work perfectly. But they have to be colored "all the way". Some are just colored on the edges.

Re: Noticeable eyes from MDMA?

Bongo's eyes used to be dilated all the time - without having taken anything to cause such. It was his natural state for years. People were always commenting on such. Bongo would just grin and ask them if they were jealous. That would end the discussion.
