Smoking - Does an emptied cigarette work for weed?

If swim gets a cigarette, empties it out and fills it with weed will it work ok? He did this before and it took like 2 joints but it could have been bad weed or something, that was a long time ago so he does n't remember.

SWIM says that cig's are a little on the brittle side... they would most likely bite the dust mid operation. Rolling papers?

Also, if your hell bent on it, remove the filter as it will remove a lot of SWIYs fun.

SWIM has done this a couple times but it takes like 5 times longer than rolling a joint. Make sure if you do to rip the filter off. Also the paper burns extremely fast compared to a ciggarete.

SWIM has also done this before and, while not preferable, employs the following method in a pinch:

1. Holding the cigarette tobacco side down, uses two fingers to gently squeeze the section of the cigarette containing the tobacco while rolling it back and forth between fingers
2. Carefully uses a bent paperclip to help dislodge the tobacco, alternating between this and step 1 when necessary
3. Inserts weed into emptied space, gently packing down with paperclip
4. Uses tweezers to pull out white filter, as well as the darker charcoal-based (?) filter that is often found behind it
5. Replaces removed filter with rolled index card, cut to length
6. Enjoys

SWIM has found that while cigarette paper does tend to burn faster, this method will still do the job when out of rolling papers/wraps.

This technique works if you are in a pinch.

However, it can be a hassle if you are using herb that has a lot of thin stems because they tend to poke little holes through the paper.

You can smoke it with or without the filter, but the filter tends to get clogged rather quickly and it will get harder to draw on. The filter might also reduce how high you get, and it definitely does change the flavor. SWIM doesnt like the flavor through a filter.

Replacing the filter with an index card or piece of rolled scrap paper works well, and is SWIM's preferred smoking method.

Yeah that worked ok. He cut the filter off and used a little tobacco for the filter. It kinda was brittle with out the filter.

What if he mixes it 1/3 tobacco and 2/3's of regular weed, leaving the filter on? I was thinking that the tobacco would help it burn slower and more how its suppose to burn. Would the filter make the weed way more ineffective? He just wants to experience that weed plus tobacco feeling whiles hes on DXm later today. tobacco always makes his bong stink.

The filter will definitely remove a good portion of the THC and such. Roll a spliff (tobacco + weed in a joint).

Yes definitely, THC and the other cannabinoids in cannabis are rather resinous sticky compounds that would probably be easily trapped in the filter of a cigarette. SWIM has used a cigarette tube with filter and the effects were certainly diminished, almost by half he would say.

It will work if u remove the filter, As the filter will remove most of Swims weed THC, Swim should just walk down his local shop and buy some rolling papers.

A friend of mine couldn't roll a spliff, so he emtied cigarettes for the job... i guess it worked having in mind he ALWAYS did that when there wasnt anyone to roll it for him... Carry on the other hand preffers good ol' joint

Well the way the tobacco is packed into the paper makes it burn the way it does. In the plants, the tobacco is compressed and the paper is wrapped around it tightly and cut to perfection. When you remove the tobacco, and replace it with weed or weed and tobacco, it won't have the same consistency and burn faster because it wont be as tight, or too tight. However, A person has used cigarettes and sliced them down like blunt wraps, and used the paper to roll a joint. With some saliva and a quick lighter roast the paper will stay wrapped together. Works great if no papers are around and people are still craving a joint.

On a side note, a persons friend once rolled 'stealth joints' which involved about a half and half mix of rolling tobacco and weed put into a rolling machine and rolled into cigarrete size, with filter on the end. He would then poke a small hole down the center of the filter and insert a small rolled index piece into it. It allowed good flow of the smoke and the filter was still there to provide look and a place for your fingers, just like a smoke.

Remove all branches and put just leafs of "heads", and make sure your leafs are DRY, and that leafs are really compresed into cigarette, and don't put any tabaco into it. You don't have to remove cigarette filter, it will get you as high as usual joint without tabaco.

this will work just fine swim smoked a cig. filled with ganja outside of a local movie theater in front of everyone and it burned perfectly aslong as its all ground up. another bonus is that you can smoke in public.
p.s. one tip would be to close tip of the cig. just like joint. so your ganja doesn't fall out

If your swim want all marijuana to stay in, and cigarette-look, you should tell him to

* use toothpick to push some tabacco on the top, but use longer leafs of tabaco, not "too granulated".

Or, if you want "rolled index card" that SWIMDADELI call "flop", you should tell him to

* 1. remove filter
2. cut filter on 1/4, dispose 3/4, and hold 1/4
3. push flop in
4. push 1/4-filter in

A good way of getting rid of the filter (which swiy would totally wanna do) is rolling it between your thumb and index finger so that it compresses a little. you can then poke it out with a pencil or something. you can fill the back end with tabac or put your own paper filter in. or whatever you like.

swim likes the take the filter out of the one end and then fill that same end with the MJ.. this way he gets to smoke the weed and then gets a little bacco towards the end..

SWIM does this all the time, it takes a little longer than rolling, but you can get pretty quick at it, having finely ground herb helps to as well ans something to tamp it down with. Its great for being sneaky, SWIM does this alot when he wants to carry weed when he drives because it just looks like a pack of cigs if he gets pulled over.

When swim was working support for fire camps, he would empty some tobacco out of the end of a cigarette, and fill it with weed. When he was walking from his tent to his post there was an area where rarely would anyone walk by, he would pull the smoke out of his pocket, bite on the tip of the filter to pull it out, take the first couple hits in deep, then once it was down to tobacco he would isert the filter back in and no one had a clue.
