Injecting - Social Stigma

SWIM would like to know if there are any other SWIMERS out there who are going through the same situation...

SWIM has always enjoyed taking a whole range of drugs recreationally , however had always been of the opionion that she would never go so far as to shoot up.

This changed however, when she recently became friends with someone who introduced her to shooting Morphine. SWIM started out injesting it , but after a few times decided to let her friend show her how to shoot it up just once (heh ) after SWIM's friend described how much better it would be.

Now SWIM does it every weekend and has since injected other substances as well. A few weeks ago SWIM tried to introduce it to another friend. SWIM's friend did it with her and said he enjoyed it etc... then SWIM's friend started spreading rumours about SWIM to her circle of friends and has since been called a fucken junkie, a hypocrite and a loser among other things .

SWIM has told SWIM's friends she has since stopped, even though she still does it. Since SWIM cannot drink due to other medication SWIM is on, she shoots Morphine as her choice of drug rather than alcohol.

SWIM would like to know if other SWIMERS have experienced the same thing with their friends, and whether they have managed to hide their habit from their friends successfully. SWIM is lucky because it's winter at the moment and can hide needle marks easily, but is worried in the summer SWIM will not be able to hide her habit so easily and the rumour mill will start up again
