Health - Codeine Vs. Morphine

Which one of these does swiy think is more damaging to health? In term of liver damage and other types of damage, when comparing equivalent dosages.

Swim understands that typically, 100 mg of codeine converts to 10 mg morphine, literally, and that codeine is inactive until this happens.

When codeine is taken there would be damage from the 100 mg, then damage again from the 10 mg morphine converted from it. If 10 mg morphine was taken alone, then less damage should occur and at the end of the day, swim would be getting the same amount of morphine anyway.

Is swim correct about this? He's been taking codeine for years for a legitimate condition and wants to minimize any damage.

Opiates in general are harmless to the liver, they are not toxic, now i think codeine would be worse on you then the morphine the reason being is codeine is generally binded with acetaminophen are you on Tylenol 3's? or is it just pure codine. If its jus tthe codine then your liver will be fine, its the acetaminophen that dakages your liver not the opiate, so if you can switch to 10mg of morphine that would be the better option as there is no tylenol in it.
