Nicotine demonisation - Is this the start of future plans to make illegal?

It strikes pacman that what with the demonisation of smokers in the media and by the government that maybe they are possibly thinking of outlawing tobacco in the future.

He doubts that it would be in his lifetime but he could certainly see it happening in the next hundred years.

Think about it they are urging everyone to quit even putting images like his on the packets:

Maybe this is the start of the illegalisation of tobacco and maybe tobacco will be a part of the drug war too. It seems that the government would rather the populace not consume any drugs at all but they know they have to do it bit by bit and get as many to quit before they can even attempt it as it is so ingrained in our society.

Pacman is sick of hearing people say how dirty smoking is and it causes cancer and blah blah blah yet everyone breathes in carcinogenic fumes from cars, factories and even things like eating burnt toast is carcinogenic. he thinks that not smoking in public places is a good idea but is just sick of people saying filthy habit even strangers in the street giving dirty looks. It's like they are trying to make smokers social pariahs. Would the same people go up to a fat person eating a cream cake and say: Put that cake down and get some exercise you filthy pig.

What do SWIY's think. Do SWIY think they may try to make tobacco illegal in the future?
