Pharmacology - Opiates in Costa Rica

Hello all.

I have an impending trip to Costa Rica, and was wondering if anyone has experience with navigating the pharmacia system down there. I know that most things are available over the counter, but was wondering what my best bets were to order, what the limits were, are the drug names different, etc.

I like vicodin recreationally, but my current favorite is Tussionex (12 hour syrup). I would be interested if anyone knew if they carried tussionex down there and what the associated name is. Alternately, what would be available that is pure-ish, IE does not contain a bunch of APAP that will kill my liver if I decide to drink a beer or 2.

To be clear, I don't intend to try to bring anything back, just have something to party with while I am there.

Sorry I can't help ya. I've been to Costa Rica, but I just used alcohol to party with. It never even occured to me that I might be able to get something over the counter while there. Doh!
