alcohol 1 night codeine the next?

swim had a few beers last night, maybe 5. and stopped drinking around 12. so today swim was wondering if he can take codeine?. swim drank plenty of fluids and didnt really get wasted but he worries that if he takes codeine the next day he might still have alcohol in his system and he could really fuck himself over.so swim was wondering if swim ingests codeine more then 12 hours after will he be fine? will his liver have processed all the alcohol and returned to normal to allow codeine or would this be a very dangerous thing to do. swim was thinking of waiting till atleast 9pm that would be like 21 hours after drinking? would that be fine? swim is about 5,9 and 120 lbs.

Re: alcohol 1 night codeine the next?

Depends how much a 'few' beers means - could be a crate for some, 12 cans for others. If your saying 6 pints or so, you should be fine 12 hours later presuming you stop drinking midnight, sleep, have a breakfast and some exercise (breath of fresh air) then use the other at midday. Using 24hrs later would be safe as safe could be. Using after you come in from the pub or the session at friends is unwise.

I'm sure some Swiys will use codeine as a hangover cure. Swims used co codamol on the rare occasion swim might have hangover.

Mixing any opiates and alcohol has its dangers. For CWE'ers, the danger might be more so than heroin users who never get the 'real deal' whereas codeine be it CWE or other forms, is always pure and therefore any booze mixed in could well shuffle off your mortal coil.

That's not quite what swiys or swim wants!

swim had like 4 tallcans. swim had his first at around 7 or 8 yesterday and swims expecting that if he takes the codeine today at 8 itll be pretty much 24 hours. swims had a big dinner and thinks hes good. the only think that actually worried swim was the apap. but swim think that lets say 500mg of apap the next day wont do too much if swim cwes properly.

Re: alcohol 1 night codeine the next?

Codeine bannishes a hangover for swim, he's an indefatigable experimenter. He went through a phase of drinking a few glasses of red wine the night before each codeine session, convinced that it was boosting euphoric symptoms. Sometimes he went a bit far and drank the whole bottle and woke up hungover. After taking codeine he felt perfect.

It was not boosting euphoria btw, and any amount of alcohol or codeine above the recommended max will damage the liver, moreso combined. The only thing he's found that really boosts the euphoric effects of codeine is straight exercise.

Re: alcohol 1 night codeine the next?

Yeah SWInevelshaze should be grand, like SWIeveryone says codeine is a pretty good hangover cure, SWIM'd wake up after a night out drinking and go straight for codeine, and there was a time when SWIM would be dropping 4,200mg of ibupofen with it (.... bad times!)
Basically, I really doubt SWIY would die from codeine/alcohol intoxication from having alcohol in your blood from the day before, you needn't fret about that really, especially since you only had "a few beers", it's just a matter of liver strain and (pretty inevitable) longterm damage, etc.

SWIY ought to make sure to use cold water extraction every time he does codeine in the form of painkillers, messing up your poor liver like SWIM used to do before he copped on to C.W.E is a shite job, can't stress it enough. So basically, so long as SWIyou didn't drink TOO much there is a pretty minimal risk of the 2 drugs erm .. killing SWIyou.

And that is my 2 cents.
