Need Some Urgent Help Here

My friend isina real bind.


Hegot the new Shpongle album in the mail, but he didn't listen to it. Having heard Tales of the Inexpressible for the first time during a very high dose of shroomshe saved it all week for the right headspace.


Herecently got a shipment in the mail of 2ci and 2ce. He's tried the 2CE from this vendor and knows it to be good, but he'd really like to go for the 2CI tonight because he likes the way it jives with music better. However, the 2CI from this vendor doesn't look like the kind he's done in the past. Instead of being a white powder it's an offwhite crystaline substance.


Can anyone confirm for him if that's just another form of it? Shulgin's entry calls it a white powder too. What to do. Ifhe doesn't hear soon he'll just go for the 2ce, but if anyone can confirm the goodness of the2ci he'd much rather do that.

SWIM has observed 2C-I to be clumpy white powder, fluffy. He has never seen it as a brittle crystaline solid.


Your friend could just take a small dose and see if its good, like 10mg or something. If in the unlikly event it is some other chemical that is active, 10mg shouldn't be too dangerous, unless its LSD-25 or something . Or just trust the vendor and do a full dose and see what happens. That is what SWIM would do but it may not be the wisest course of action.


Unfortuantly, I do not think anyone can confirm if it is really 2C-I or not, unless yourhobbyis mass spectrometry.

SWIM received 2C-I from a well known and good vendor, it was a powder/crystalline solid. It definitely was 2C-I though and was very good for that matter. Edited by: sg43

Ya know? When you are dealing with a halogenated substance, such as an iodine compound like 2-CI, if it is is not stored in the dark and cold - it will discolor. Rarely does this effect the potency unless it is kept in sunlight and warm for quite awhile. So I would toss it in the freezer S.T.A.T. and not be overly concerned.

Well, the dust has settled. Thanks for all your responses. Even though the source is well-respected, he'll go ahead and get the Marquis.He ended up just doing a bunch of 2cE.


A lot was learned. Here is a trip report for anyone interested.


This was his sixth or seventh experiment with with 2cE and each time he had a good time but hadn't ever reach that enlightened stated he gets with other psychedelics, including 2cI. So, he decided to go for the gusto. The previous high water mark was 20mg so he went for 30mg measured with tare'd wax paper on a Gem Pro scale.


For the first several hours he was in a good way. When the group decided the apex was approaching they popped in the new Shpongle.


Let me digress briefly to say that Shpongle is the closest thing to a religion I have. Last Year I made a pilgremage all the way from Los Angeles to Australia just to see Simon Posford's various incarnations at the Earthcore festival. He is the Beatles of our era; music will never be the same as it was before he jumped into the fray. And he and Raja Ramm are some of the nicest most humble musical geniuses that you could ever meet.


So, I made it through the new album. It's the real deal. Everything I could hope for and more.


Just after the end of Shpongle he started becoming anxious and in a constant state of confusion and distress. He became conscious of his breathing and of course his breathing became rapid and irregular. Basically a freakout ensued for the next hour and it took him the better part of the Younger Brother album to get it back together.


In retrospect I'm not sure exactly what happened.He has only ever had one bad experience of this kind over the course of probably around 100 trips over the past decade or so, many of which were so intense he experienced complete identity evaporation. InitiallyI was thinking that high doses of 2CE don't result in the same sort of ego loss that high doses of other hallucinogens inspire. Now I'm thinking thathe was peaking during Shpongle and could just surrender to the music, but when the album ended it left him in that weird state in between total selfless oblivion and alert awareness. The result was that every 30 secondsor so hewould awaken into a new reality with the same confused lack of controlhe had before.


At any rate he's going to take it easy on the 2Ce for a while and go back to his base for his next few journeys to build confidence and remember where to find his gravity when he loses it.

BTW, my friend managesa Tower records and talked their corporate distribution into carrying the new Shpongle. Simon's record label lost their distributor so you can only buy it directly from the Twisted Records website or from Tower records in about a week. If there was a psychonaut instruction manual it would include a shpongle album behind a little seal to break in case of existential emergency. Edited by: psychotropic

i downloaded the Shpongle, but will send Simon money direct. Shpongle goes very well with psychs, esp. DMT.

Sorry to hear he had a rough time. 2C-E is a very powerful material. From what I have read and heard, it seems a lot of people have difficult expieriences with 2C-E.


SWIM has tried 2C-E up to 30mg, but he thinks it is unnecesary. 18 or 20mg gets SWIM to a delicious state of confusion. SWIM has exclusivly had positive experiences with 2C-E and finds it causes extreme euphoria.With 20mg SWIM reachedthat magical++++ during a car ride (driver was sober) where there were lovly rosemarry and red hues washed across SWIM's vision. SWIM was in an extreme state of clarity and euphoria for a good 15 minutes, but it seemed likean hour. The view from inside the car through aviator sunglasseswas breathtaking and left swim in awe. SWIM felt thedivine presence permeate his core being,and hewas able to embrace this state until the car reached its destination. The experiencefelt deeply profound.


Anyway, the point is that with these materials, less can be more.
