Question Possible overdose?

This is an event that occured approximately 8 or so months ago and swim has thought about quite a lot wondering just what happened.

The event in question actually occured to swims friend and at the time of this happening swims friend was approximately 5"11 and 150 lbs.

Swim and his friend had been indulging in cocaine for approximately 5 days or so now having roughly consumed an ounce between them over this period. On the last night of this particular binge Swim and his friend had consumed about 2 grams when Swims friends nose started bleeding, as we had been sniffing for a long period of time now we chalked it up to no concern and decided to carry on. Swim consumed another line with no problems but Swims friend decided to take a line up the still bleeding nostril.

This is where the problems started, immediately after taking the line Swims friend complained of being light-headed and nauseous, he tried to stand up and go to the toilet but his legs collapsed as soon as he stood up.

Swims friend was lieing on the floor saying he felt like he was about to pass out, he was sweating a lot and was very flushed also he was panting as if he'd just ran a marathon.

Swim naturally became very concerned and got his friend some water and a damp cold cloth for his head and within 20 minutes swims friend was recovering and within the hour was completely fine albeit wired.

Swim was just wondering what possibly could have caused this? His friend had consumed up to a Q of this coke previously whilst drinking heavily and on this particular night no other substances had been consumed other than a few J's of cannabis (appr 1gr hashish)

The coke was however quite pure as it came off a kilo that a contact of swims obtained and swim was there when it was chopped into ounces so no additional cuts were added past the kilo level .

Thanks for any advice swimmers!

Re: Possible overdose?

Swiy probably consumed more substances than your body could handle. Without the right nutrition and activity your body will be harmed. What you described would be warnings signs that your body is sending out to make you stop. Untreated overdoses rarely end up without a fatality. Search up Cocaine & Alcohol. Your body makes a very toxic chemical when those two are combined. Swiy should try and eat right and take lot's of non alcoholic fluids if swiy is planning a binge.

Re: Possible overdose?

The only time alcohol was consumed was on the first night of this binge however, is it possible that cocaethylene would still have been present in swims friend on day 6?

Re: Possible overdose?

The people in my dream slept on alternative days and even then little sleep was gained on the days were they did sleep (2 - 4 hours) so swim thinks sleep deprivation could have played quite a big role in this as at the time this occured swims friend had probably been awake for 36+ hours, luckily no one was seriously damaged from this and it did teach swim and his friend a lesson about moderation.

Swims friend now only smokes cannabis on occasion and rarely drinks, swim still uses a whole range of substances but only at the weekends and restricts weekdays to cannabis only, he also no longer uses cocaine as he was quite addicted at the time this incident occured and now seeks to minimise the harm done to his body

Re: Possible overdose?

Yeah, those people would have been majorly harmed by the sleep deprivation. It's no fun says swim. He was once up for 7 days and at the end of it he was seeing very bad things.

Re: Possible overdose?

Three days ago, swim's heartbeat went up to 120/min, along with a brief period of nausea after smoking. Swim usually keeps some sedatives around for that, but not this time. It scared us all very much.

It could have been cut with something that didn't agree, because swim didn't do that much. I wonder how fast your heart can beat with out going into cardiac arrest?

Anyways, swim is making a new attempt at quitting....that has happened before but usually after doing lots more. One of these times, I'm afraid he won't survive.

Re: Possible overdose?

Swim is pretty sure but 180 bpm would be the hospital line. Swim isn't a docter but throught research has come across this number. Anyways, SWIy should know your own limits and decide when it's over his head.
