TEK - Propylhexedrine Sticky

Ok here is the deal AFOAF wanted for me to post something asking about Propylhexedrine because they was thinking about extraction it but they don't want it to come out Sticky and yellow is there a way for it not to come out yellow? My friend seen this extraction but he wanted to know if you put both the Petroleum Ether and The Zippo lighter fluid in or just one? Thanks Guys and Girls I hope you can Help. Required chemicals:
* Muriatic (hydrochloric) acid or another weaker acid substitute
* Isopropyl alcohol
* Petroleum Ether or "Zippo" lighter fluid
* Distilled water

(1) Break open a Benzedrex inhaler, cut the cotton into small pieces, and place into a 25-50ml beaker.

(2) Add a couple tablespoons of isopropyl alcohol (70% to 99%). This will immediately pre-extract some of the propylhexedrine freebase from the cotton.

(3) Boil some water (preferably distilled) in the microwave. While waiting, stir the cotton inhaler/alcohol mix thoroughly.

(4) Add boiling water to the alcohol/cotton mix, filling the beaker slightly less than halfway with fluid. Immediately add 15-30 drops of muriatic acid.

(5) Stir well, and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Remove cotton, squeeze out and set it aside (don't discard it yet).

(6) Add Zippo / petroleum ether to the beaker, until it's 4/5 full or thereabouts (enough to be able to shake). Cover and SHAKE WELL (use your hand to cover the top f there's no lid).

(7) Allow the petroleum layer to separate from the other liquid -- it will float to the top, with the menthol crap dissolved in it but the propylhexedrine still in solution in the acidic water/alcohol layer at bottom. Siphon off the top layer with an eyedropper and discard it. If you plan on injecting the propylhexedrine, repeat steps 6-7 several times to improve purity.

(8) Place the remaining liquid on an evaporation plate, put it in the microwave or conventional oven and evaporate completely. Careful not to let the plate crack from the heat. Allow to sit 15-30 minutes to cool.

(9) Either scrape propylhexedrine crystals off plate and save, or scrape crystals and dissolve in ~30ml water. Alternately you could add ~30ml water onto the plate, swirl it around to redissolve the propylhexedrine and siphon it off into another container.

(10) If desired, take the cotton from step 5 and repeat this whole process on it one more time. You should recover only 5-10% more at best, which is insignificant with one inhaler but would be significant if several inhalers were being extracted at once.
