I'm in the United States Marine Corps. I haven't smoked in two months. Long story short, I was really drunk last night with some friends and I took two hits off a bowl.

Anyone want to tell me how long they think it'll take for me to get clean from that? A week? Two weeks?

I'd like some input on this. So please post back.

Since it's a single use without recent exposure to the chemical, the longest it could last is a week, and could be clean even sooner. The combo of increased fluid intake and exercise is always the best recommendation if not in a pressing situation (ie a test is scheduled for friday), then it seems like things should be fine.

And if your interest in the forum extends beyond this question about drug testing I would advise you to read the rules regarding self-incrimination because the line "I smoked marijuana" would be breaking that rule. 48-72 hours and it shouldn't show up on a UA. A week and it will most certainly be out of your system.

If they hair test it gets trickier. It probably wouldn't show up on the hair test either, as cannabinoids don't stay in hair very well. You are more likely to get some residual cannabinoids on your hair from having smoke blown on it than from smoking. Not sure about the timing on this one, but I wouldn't be too worried.

True, but unless he shaves his pits and "down there", the testers can always get hair. Can anyone clarify if they would use leg or arm hair as a last ditch attempt? Might seem weird a marine waxing his legs though

Doesn't even have to be a last ditch attempt. Some places they will use hair not from the head for the first sample!

Had a friend who cut his hair short (but not too short in case they suspected something) and then used hydrogen peroxide to bleach it only to go for the test and have them use armpit hair!

My friend SWIM has been a marine for 2 years and has never had any hair tested, weird. SWIM always gets nervous about piss tests, stupid ass military. Oh and not all marines have no hair, SWIMs hair is pushing the 3 inch maximum on top, some might call him a shitbag, but SWIM really doesnt give a rats ass

And I'm not a Marine yet lol I'm in the Delayed Entry Program. I leave for Paris Island (Boot Camp) on Oct 26th.

The reason i'm a little freaked out by the "incident" is because I still haven't gotten my results from the drug test I had to take to get enlisted. So If they come back saying that I failed any time in the next week, i'm pretty screwed.

But, my plan is:
1.Water
2.Run
3.Water
4.Repeat
