Finding A Vein

Swim has recently dabbled into i.ving some decent blow but he has one problem. Swim can't seem to find a proper vein to hit. Does anyone have any "tricks" for finding veins? Swim can only find these tiny little ones that arn't any bigger than the needle tip itself.
