MDMA and Diabetes Concern

Hi all,

I have a history of diabetes in my family, and it is highly likely that I myself will develop type A diabetes with in the next couple of years. Last weekend, the next day after rolling with the x, I showed all the signs of being on x the night before, as well as most of the characteristics of diabetes. It is now a week later, and the symptoms have all gone, but I am worried that if i continue to use x, diabetes will incur faster....

what do you think??

Thanks.

pills in a pretty short period of time. and even drank the night he rolled and all kinds of shit. I guess if you really think your gonna develop diabetes and you dont think its safe to do x like your life could lie on the line dont do it.

Taking X causes you to lose natural sugars, salts and vitamins in your body. That can't be safe for a diabetic. I'd seek medical advice.

I would stay away from x then if I were you. Not really sure if it interacts with diabetes or not. Nothing is worth making yourself sick though. Remember there are 2 kinds of diabetes from people that tell you there friends have done it with no problem. Again safe then sorry is better in my opinion.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

SWIF has a friend with Adolecent Diabeties and she is very keen to try MDMA. SWIF Has no problem monitoring her blood suger every hour and making sure she is alright. He also would plan to have an insulin injection and glucagon injection nearby in case of any issues should they arise. Finally he would also only let her do it in a confined environment with friends not a dance floor due to the complications of fluid balance.

Is using pure mdma on a diabetic person applicable or is this out of the question?

What are the possible dangers and how likely are they to happen?

I would hate to deprieve her of the magic that any MDMA user past or present has had at some point.

^^^ Having done MDMA with a type I diabetic SWIJ would say this was a NO GO!

There were random (and completely unpredictable, given diet, previous insulin and levels of physical activity) fluctuations of BM (note: there was no alcohol involved at any point).

The BM testing generated huge anxiety and SWIJ actually had to give iv dextrose at one point (maybe an over-reaction, but she wasn't waiting to find out!) She honestly believes that glucagon wouldn't have been sufficient.

This was all when she was young and at med school. She would NOT countenance it these days.

Honest opinion: Really NOT worth the risk.
