Addiction - wot would be the final straw?

Thats hard to judge because sometimes when a addict starts doing more and more horrible things to score its kinda like being well swim is already a piece of shit so fuck it. Swim would say prostitution would be swims rock bottom though and homeless on top of it. With no family or friends they just completely gave up on swim would be a serious blow as well.

I think that's the biggest point - I'm sure many people go past what they thought of their point of no return because they think "well, I've already lost XYZ, all I have left is heroin." And of course nothing takes away the pain of losing XYZ like more drugs.

My towel has only done heroin once so far, is not an addict and is of course hoping never to become one. But he says losing his job would be the worst thing he can think of, as without that he's not sure what he'd do. Towels take their jobs very seriously.

It's really hard to say.
Probably if heroin had directly caused swim to become homeless. Swim likes having his own little place to retreat to.
Although swim knows alot of street junkies, so he'd probably just start living with them, and things would get even worse.........it's impossible for swim to say..........until he gets there....

ah swims final straw, was relapsing whilst on naltrexone, then finding out she was pregnant on the same day she went back on methadone.

aint nothing like an unborn child in your belly to make you think twice about taking drugs.

in hindsight, things could have turned out much, much worse. she was very lucky to have only let relapse last a week before trudging back to her opiate specialist with her tail between her legs.

imagine if shed let the relapse go for a few months for instance... swim hadnt had a period for years, so wouldnt have thought nothing of it, until she grew a bump. so really she is thankful that she got her shit together quick, cause she would have had to live with herself for causing withdrawal symptoms to her newborn child.

**40mg of methadone and higher, is what causes withdrawals to babies, as of course does heroin use. swim was very lucky to remain stable on 20-25mg throughout her pregnancy, split dosing undiluted biodone (the pink stuff that has no sugar or alcohol). for some reason the chemist continued to not dilute it after she gave birth, coupled with 6 take aways a week, she then moved onto injecting it. this is what more or less killed her addiction to heroin completely. lawlz.

swim wanted a kid for the same reason. feed my kid, or get high. That would be the ultimate question.

Rock bottom for swim would be sleeping on curbs, constantly being bitched at and looked at by police/strangers and not eating for days at a time, and surviving on runoff water from the rain. Prostitution would be pretty bad, but swim would sell himself to slavery, essentially the dope man's bitch before that. It would be stupid shit like doing dishes, vacuming, childcare (wow, what a bad idea that would be) and such.
