Swim made his best tea ever! New Ice-O-Lation step.
Swim comes here to do his learning because all you swiy's are so much more knowledgeable than swim. He can't very well learn from those who know the same... or even less, can swim?
But even a blind hog can stumble across an acorn.... and just in case someone reading this hasn't figured this out before swim did, he asked me to share his new (to him) TEK:
He uses two 2-liter clear soda bottles for the freezing part and a plastic gallon sized milk-jug type water bottle for trans pouring.
When he removes a 2-liter bottle from the freezer and pours off the good stuff into the next 2-liter bottle that will go in the freezer, instead of discarding or drinking the still-pretty-darned-brown ice, he shakes it and turns it upside-down atop an empty drinking glass and allows the ice to slowly melt until all the ice left in the 2-liter bottle is "clean" and clear like regular ice. What has melted and is still very brown (and now in the drinking glass) is added back to the tea that is now being ice-o-lated.
The clear ice left in the upside-down 2-liter bottle that will now be discarded is almost tasteless and he feels more secure that no alkaloids are being thrown out.
The old guy is pleased with himself and is strutting around here like he's done thunk of something real smart..... chest all puffed-up and everything.... just pitiful.
