Needle Fixation and its role in addiction

Swim knows that there have been threads discussing needle fixation here and there posted over the years......
But swim was wondering, for a IV user of H that has overcome their addiction problem......How much of the problem was the issue was needle fixation, and how hard was that aspect of the addiction to overcome?

Swim has read the old threads, and has talked to friends that had at times of desperation.....shot up water,alcohol.Why....who knows really?
Swim knows it has something to do with the ritual of it(and swim can grasp that theory,as he enjoys the opium pipe/opium lamp smoking ritual as much as the smokes effects .
But generally when swiy kicked the habit, how much of a problem (if any problem at all) was "needle fixation?.......bige
