Drug info - Prescribing Ketamine alongside Methadone

Swim is going back to the clinic on Thursday to grab some more Methadone although does not feel that this by itself is doing the job.

Swim tried using Ketamine alongside the Methadone and this seem to have a much better effect.

Swim was wondering if the clinic would also prescibe the Ketamine alongside the Methadone?

Where do you live? I'm guessing you're talking about a methadone clinic for heroin abuse?

Basically, your chemical options for heroin treatment, (through a clinic), are almost always just methadone or buprenorphine. Lofexidine and naltrexone for less severe addictions, and post detox.

Ketamine is a drug that hasn't been widely used on humans for a long time, and is known to be a big recreational drug. There's noway you'd be able to get any sort of legal prescription for that!

UK, swims normal DR gave me Diazapam to knock me back a bit until swim could get some more Methadone but that REALLY did NOT help at all!!

yeah, swim's in UK too, on methadone maintenance. Abandon the K script idea, ital never happen, it's not licensed to treat opiate addictions. (Or anything except rare anaesthesia cases where there's a respiratory issue swim thinks).

You'd be more likely to get pink-scripted. And that will never happen lol.

Swim is not familiar with that term "pink scripted". What does it mean??

Maybe for Hard-Core Pain-Patients (Palliative Medicine) they will do,
for People with a Psychotic Disorder they can`t do that.
There are to many Risks for the prescribing Doc`s!

Not sure any docs can prescribe Ketamine at all. They may use it in a hospital setting in some cases but they wouldn't have the license to prescribe ketamine much like most can't prescribe diamorphine

hahaha, no way would a british doc prescribe ketamine!! but in other countries you can buy it from vets and other sources no problem legally. not in the UK though matey, sorry.....have to stick to the underground for that one. Oh and pink script is next level prescription for pure Heroin, diamorphine and only a handful of people are lucky enough to get them. UK this is by the way.

Pink scripts are generally reserved for those who've been hardcore heroin addicts for 10+ years.
Normally you've only got a hope in hell of getting pink-scripted if you've fucked yourself up so much you're on death's door anyway.

By all means give it a shot, but most people who've succeeded with it were trying for years, with many doctors around the country. And as mentioned before, were really in a bad way.

P.s.- it sounds like swiy is withdrawing at the moment, without the aid of any opiates? If this is the case, then be careful if you do go on methadone, because your tolerance will have dropped massively.
If you can get over the withdrawal without methadone, then it would be advisable to stay away from it, it's nasty stuff.

Yeah swim cant see a doctor prescribing Ketamine so swim would say don't bother. Maybe instead now swim can use the money he did on H and buy K if it seems to help, but swim should be careful not to get hooked on K its pretty rare but swim could possibly get psychologically addicted.

If the methadone is not doing the job then swiy needs to up the Mg's. A script of diazapam is more valueable when one is on methadone. They react differently when combined but becareful that one doesnt develop a dependence or addiction to benzos since a benzo taper will take a lot longer than any opiate taper.

Swim don`t know the Situation in your country
but in swims country it is impossible to get a Script with Methadone and Diazepam by Law!

Ketamine isn't a prescribable drug. It's singular human use is as an anesthetic and they do not prescribe anesthetics. Experimentally there have been a few trials involving ketamine and breaking addiction, but again, this is not a pursuable route to try and get off the junk.
