Does food effect the potency of an acid trip?

SWIM is taking acid for the 3rd time is 5 hours. SWIM has a carton of cigarettes because last time they were greater then anything on Earth. SWIM took 4 hits last time but wants to tone it down so he is going to take 3 but isn't sure if food will lower the potency of the acid. So is it okay if SWIM eats before?

BTW, Swim had a fucking horrible trip because his idiotic friends pointed airsoft guns at him as a joke and isolated him from the group.
