which one is most addictive
well, what I was recently thinking about was which consumption way is most addictive or does it really matter?
actually I do have some answers about the issue but they are all my thoughts and opinions. to think logically addiction level must vary from pleasure you get, how intense it makes the effects and so on. I have never done anything but MJ and E. and although snorting e was much better it didn't make me think that it can be more addictive than taking orally. anyway, any other opinions about meth? |

Re: which one is most addictive
Hmm... Swim couldn't find any studies that specifically targeted addiction potential based on administration route. However, as swiy noted with E, snorting it seems much better. Swim would think that there could be a connection bioavailability / perceived effect / addiction potential. Smoking or IVing meth is MUCH more effective in terms of bioavailability. Swim would think that might lure potential users to those administration methods in order to achieve stronger perceived effects, but doesn't know if it would actually cause it to be more addictive.

Re: which one is most addictive
swim finds that snorting amphetamine means she is more likely to get into a compulsive do a line every hour mode (even though it lasts at least four) Something about the ritual she reckons...
she used to shoot speed but didn't really like the needle thing it freaked her out in a middle class moral panic way (kind of) so that didnt take hold as a preferred method. she gave that up ages ago in the spirit of "harm reduction" dunno if this is helpful as it is based on personal experience not proper scientific enquiry as it were... |

Re: which one is most addictive
I hear the needle is most addictive.
but as far as administration routes SWIM has personally tried, smoking most substances is the most addictive. |

Re: which one is most addictive
needles and smoking are the most addictive. swim has done both, and found that she would use just as much smoking as she would shooting.
in terms of withdrawals, shooting is the worst. |

Re: which one is most addictive
the first time SWIM tried meth, his dealer advised upon eating the rock & to be very wary of snorting the material.. However, SWIM found that eating it delivered a less euphoric yet stimulating effect. Then, SWIM went ahead and sniffed a very small bump of it & the effects were very pleasurable and more like the meth "high" that has been described to him

Re: which one is most addictive
Swim believed that shooting it up may considered the most addictive. The basic route smoking>snorting>eating>shooting for one from easy>advance>expert mode. In most hardcore case..shooting is normally the case.
Swim is scared of pain so the thought of needles going under his skin is out of the options. |

Re: which one is most addictive
Any method with the fastest onset of effect would be the most addictive in swims opinion.

Re: which one is most addictive
SWIM has been around this shit for years and knows many people who take it different ways, IV kills people, once you IV you dont have control, it changes you.
SWIM has only ever taken it orally other swimmers he knows have only ever taken it orally and they always have far more control than the IV users he knows. At the end of the day the way you take it dont matter a fuck, swim is still addicted to it, he cant say no, he just has more control and dont put any old thing up his arm and rush doing it. |

Re: which one is most addictive
The high from iv use is the quickest and most intense rush so Sparkles would have to say that it's the quickest route to a habit, but regardless of how opiates are taken, take them for enough time and the outcome is the same, addiction.

Re: which one is most addictive
Luckily swim just doesn't really get off on the whole needle ritual********************and yes, she has done it, since the kittens ask, on quite a few occasions, but has long abandoned it**************************no doubt she is a little squeamish too**************It seems finicky and time consuming, and can be scary in its intensity. She would rather callibrate the amount exactly and that is a hell of a lot easier to do orally. Even very strong speed is very unlikely to kill a cat at moderate oral doses but the same cannot be said with IV doses.................................the kitty dreads to think what would happen if she shot the high purity speed she often gets now.................................and she has no interest in being dead, or on a more flippant note, being condemned to wearing long sleeved tee shirts every day, regardless of weather........................................... .....
