Drug info - Xanax bar (Alprazolam) scored into thirds?

So Swim has a friend that is prescribed to Xanax. He just got a refill on his script and he comes up to Swim and tells him they gave him "3 milligram bars" and that they get you more fucked up and Swim pretty much assumed it was bullshit... But then he gave Swim one of them and it was scored into thirds instead of fourths. So either they are 2 mg bars divided into .67mg portions which makes no sense, or 3 mg bars divided into 1 mg portions which also makes no sense. Anyone know what is going on here? Oh and it's definately Xanax.

As far as Swivy knows, 2 mg bars are as big as they make them. Um ...I do know that one medication that comes in a 3 score bar is buspirone. Swiv would go to an online pill identifier and plug in the markings, color and shape of the pill to get the ID. I really hope swiy didn't get burned. Unless there is a new dosage of alprazolam out there, it isn't alprazolam. If there WERE a new dosage out on the market, it would most likely be on patent, and would probably say the name Xanax on it since generics would not be allowed yet. Swiv could be totally wrong here, but this is all to the best of her knowledge. Swiv highly recommends swiy goes to his favorite search engine and looks up the pill on a pill IDer. Good luck. ETA: Swivy took a quick peek around and found that alprazolam comes in a 3mg extended release dose, but ER pills aren't normally scored since they're not meant to be broken...verrry interesting.

I know it's not buspar, SWIM used to be prescribed that. He took half of a bar and it felt like the usual xanax high, maybe a little stronger but could just be placebo effect.
