Opiate addiction

Ok, first off swim should make it aware that swim has NOT tried Heroin although has become increasing addicted to Codine and Morphine.

In anybodys experience is there and how does swim go about getting prescribed a suitable alternative for these withdrawal efffects swim has been getting.

Some of swims friends have recently got some Heroin and have been told that this will ease my withdrawal symptoms although swim would prefere to get professional help and become clean.

The only problem is that swim is feeling like sh*t and needs another hit FAST!

Regards,

Jim

Re: Opiate addiction

first of all, swims son is often in the same room when swim comes to check on fellow DF members. she doesnt appreciate coming across avatars like the one swiy has. swim is a single mum, there are 2 screens on her pc, so often the little one is watching a dvd next to her.

this isnt a pornography site ffs.

secondly, buprenorphine and suboxone can ease withdrawals, enabling you to taper down to nothing, then be clean. if thats what swiy wants. speak to swiys doctor, or find one willing to prescribe them. clonidine helps by lowering the blood pressure, reducing the hypertension, and promethazine is an OTC drowsy hayfever medication that works wonders when combined with the above mentioned medicines.

sorry, but from now on, swim is going to avoid reading swiys posts, and if her son sees that avatar, swiy will most definitely cop an earful. gah.

You're on a heroin forum and you're worried about your son seeing a dirty avatar?

Stay on the original topic and don't wonder off

Her son will not understand that obviously and as her username is ex junk she obviously doesn't do it anymore

Re: Opiate addiction

Have to say the avatar is pretty disgusting.

And no swapping a weaker opiate for a stronger one obviously not a good idea. How do you think people end up as junkys?

Re: Opiate addiction

Point taken about the avatar and WILL be removed after this post!

Secondly my GP will not prescribe anything he says that he cant although I think its more a case that he wont.

We have all these drugs in this country but people like swim are forced to go out and line the drug dealers pockets instead of the government helping!

Re: Opiate addiction

It may be a case of can't. GPs in the UK cannot prescribe things like methadone without a license. Depending on where SWIY are SWIY will have to go to a clinic if SWIY want help
