Forever a bloody poppy tea drinker?

SWIM is a smart guy, but he's getting frustrated with himself. Every time he starts removing the seeds from dried pods, he's a bloody mess before he finishes the task. Guess he needs to get some gloves. Those things can shred his delicate hands! It looks like there's been a recent slaying in his kitchen!
He was thinking earlier about how, as a kid, he always had model airplane glue on his clothes. These days it's blood.
