2-3 year old Spliff... worth smoking?

SWIM was planning to have a session on Saturday with a friend but the only cannabis they have are 2 ready-rolled joints that have been sitting in a draw for the past 2-3 years. If they were to smoke these, would they get any kind of effect from them? It was good skunk at the time of rolling and they both haven't smoked in a while.

Could it have gone moldy? Or could it even have matured to be even more awesome??

Pot often gains strength with age, however mould is an issue but you wont know until swiy smokes it or re-rolls it. If it was rolled with tobacco it will taste absolutely awful, even spliffs left for days in the dry take on a harsher taste and a more nausiating feeling at the back of your throat. Having said that, swim would definetly give it a go, swim doesn't think the health risks are monumental but it will certainly taste rancid if rolled with tobacco.

Snuffkin might consider putting it in the fridge overnight before smoking. this may add a little moisture to it and make it more pleasant.
Regardless that weed will be well and truly cured though after 2-3 years Snuffkin really hopes SWIY didn't add tobacco when rolling.
Peace

Re: 2-3 year old Spliff... worth smoking?

Unfortunately, it was rolled with cigarette tobacco

Will the skunk have soaked up the nasty smells etc or is it the tobacco which will taste nasty?

Would it be worth breaking it up, removing as much tobacco as possible and then re-rolling? Or should SWIM just smoke it and bear the taste?

Maybe break it and use a bong with ice cold concentrated lemonade.

All is well... the spliffs were smoked. Turns out there were 4 instead of 2 and they worked perfectly SWIM said they were harsh on the throat but it really wasn't too bad, compared to some other stuff SWIM has smoked.

Swivy is happy to hear swiy had a good experience with the aged spliffs. Swivy would have said "what the hell" and smoked 'em if she could smoke. Glad they didn't make swiy sick or weren't too stale. Good times!
