SWIM has heard many things about the 5-MeO group, one friend swears by 5meo-amt and another loves 5meo-dmt. Which one do you prefer, and which has the best visuals?

out of the 3 ive tried (5 meo mipt, dipt and dmt) i would say 5 meo mipt was the best.

the most euphoria and best visuals.

5-meo-dipt is the only one that I know, sorry !

But I had really nice experiences with this stuff.

Once I took approx. 14mg, tripped the balls and then watche once again "Ghost in the Shell", but it was really as it was the first time that I was watching this manga. Sound, colors, pictures, everything was so vivid !

I am inexperienced with 5-MeO-MIPT and 5-MeO-DALT.
5-MeO-DMT is an amazing compound, but Swim has had some of the most
profound archetypal visuals on 5-MeO-DIPT out of any substance he has
ever consumed.

IMO 5-MeO-AMT is like a poor imitation of AMT and is much more
toxic on the body and less enjoyable. Supposedly 5-MeO-DET is the
same way.

I'm very dubious about anything beginning with 5-MeO. 5-MeO-DMT gave me the most terrifying trip I've ever experienced, never to be repeated, while 5-MeO-DIPT made me feel listless, lethargic and depressed. 5-MeO-AMT is almost universally disliked, while 5-MeO-DET is supposedly highly toxic.


I've heard good things about 5-MeO-MIPT but I have a feeling that even if others like it, I'll inevitably have an unpleasant experience.

What is a good dosage for 5-MeO-MIPT, Ive heard many people saying anywhere from 6-10-20Mg, is 20Mg really necessary, one would think 10Mg would be sufficient?

Start out with 10mg, I found it to be a mild, but significant experience. Like 1-2grams of good cubensis. 4mg did nothing for me.

for me 5 mgs of mipt catched me quite strongly, I recommend starting lower or at least not higher then 10



BTW: I polled for 5Meo-DMT, but I have problems to compare them in this
row. Just because they all are 5 Methoxys they differ more than some
Peas and Tryptamines in my opinion. Especially the administration way
smoking versus oral makes the difference!

I found 5MeoDMT kind of psychedelic hammer, the pure white light, god
himself . Never smoked 5-Meo-MIPT or -DIPT but I can't imagine they
are similar nice.

I try 5 meodipt and i don't know what it doesn't work whth me i took 1 tme 12.5mg an other time 18mg and the last time with 30mg i feel only the insght ant only 5 minute

yes, 5-meo-dmt is one of those "beyond everything" psychedelics. I've done 2 heavy trips on that now and both of them have been among the top (if not the top) psychedelic experiences in my life. I will try it with AMT also when I have the time and courage. I have high respect for it.

mushrooms are good fun but even at large doses are a joke


if you consume a large dose of 5meoMiPT you will intepret reality wholly through fractal designs. it is a serious compound though, not to be taken lightly.


at small doses they are ~ visually (with 5meoMiPT ahead by a nose)

The only 5-MeO I have tried so far is 5-MeO-MiPT, I am also very experienced with shrooms and XTC / shrooms combo. Lately I have a few times done the XTC / 2C-B combo also. Well, I have once tried to add 12.5 mg ( 25 mg, split in half ) 5-MeO-MiPT added to 75 mg XTC and 20 mg 2C-B. It is intense, fun, tense and a bit scary sometimes.


The MIPT dominates the effect. I think I could make a good idea of what the moxy is like, despite being a first time, and also despite this being a combo. Would like to give a few hints here to help first timers, I got confused despite having read about moxy.


It starts to feel in 15 min ( moxy ) and feels kind of like shrooms, non sedative, you feel energetic, more than with 2C-B. A bit visual, crazy, scary. Later on gets better, in control, nice, about 2 h mark. If you do the moxy only probably less visual. Then it feels erotic, empathogenic, tactile is best ever experienced. Also, I felt fast heart rate when it started, better later. Over in six hours or so, but moxy post-effects last some 24 h. I could not sleep for 20 h, then a nice, refreshing sleep, feel nice afterwards. Afterglow also, a few days later completely normal. For this combo, I suggest lowering the 2C-B to 16 or 18 mg, lower also the moxy to 8 to 10 mg.


I was confused to feel it starting at 15 min, then confirmed that with Tihkal and Erowid. Also sleep effect mentioned in Erowid, not with moxy, but foxy ( 5-MeO-DiPT ). From what I have read, moxy feels better than foxy. Both 2C-B and moxy are similar to mushrooms and XTC but less sedative. 2C-B shows less after effects, good sleep, but a bit more than shrooms.


20 mg moxy should be quite strong. A normal dose is something like 10 mg to 12 mg.

I din't like any of the 5-meo-xx tryptamines. Too many side effects in all of them. I guess I had to pick one I'd pick the 5-meo-dmt. At least with that I'd be overwhelmed with other effects besides side effects...

Ive tried 5meoDALT. I was disappointed. you do get visuals but not what youd expect, its more of a slight alteration, things take on a waxy unreal look, no movement, color shifts, et cetera. some people would probably love it because its a fairly upbeat experience, I personally hate it, because it does nothing for me intellectually.


what "side effects" are you reffering to? the only one of the 5meos I know of with a bad physical effect would be alpha O DMS. the majority of the 5meo compounds are actually quite a crisp experience

5 meo dalt wasn't all that interesting...I think I ate it 3-4 times working up to 40 mgs. Pretty dang short. About 2 hrs max.


5 meo dipt...hmmm, I'd try it again...but for me, when I take a dose that's high enought to actually get some visual activity and sound warping, I also spend most of the rest of the experience in the John.


5 meo dmt has a special place...It should be kept in the tool-box next to the drop light and the and your three pound hammer.


5 meo mipt has been one of the best trypts for me. Moderate length of action, pleasant visuals, and some euphoria.

I would also like to argue in favor of my second favorite 5methoxy compound, which is alpha O DMS. anyone whos taken it knows its nearly impossible to put the experience into words, and comparing it to other drugs does it no justice. a good hit does nothing to you for about two hours, then you start getting a bit uppity, usually within the next hour youll become extremely "wired" then vomit. this is actually normal. the next 18-22 hours are spent in an odd state of empactogenic stimulation that(to my mind) puts MDMA to shame,and psychedelic manifestations most comperable to 5meomipt or LSD. not only that, but its smokable in any form and lasts longer than 15 minutes when so ingested. I would have loved to try some of the other alpha alkyl compounds, but none have been on the market I think AET was illegalized in the way back when and Ive never even seen an AAT APT AiPT or for that matter any of the alphas with carriers bonded at the endstring nitrogens. theres so much potential for these compounds, and yet theyve already been so limited.


also to some this may be heresy but I do not believe 5meoDMT to be a research chemical at all, considering its been used by south american tribes since prehistory.Edited by: allyourbase

SWIM's never had the pleasure of experiencing any of these...

But he's tried N,N-DMT in the form of ayahuasca, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it extremely similar in effect to 5-MeO-DMT?

SWIM has done 5-MeO-DiPT and 5-MeO-AMT. He didn't like the AMT much at all, felt very toxic, he can't believe so many people voted for it. SWIM has had some pretty crazy experiences on foxy. Twice with big doses of acid which made him trip insanely hard. He also did a big dose of arounf 40mg and gave his girlfriend 20mg. It hit so hard though, he said the body high was agonizing and getting worse every second. It felt like his nervous system was on fire he also through up loads. However the visuals were really strong and colourful. At points he could barely see anything else other than patterns.

Once the peak had finally passed much to his relief the body high became amazing. He said everything felt extremely erotic. He said he then had some of the best sex in his entire life. So what started out as complete torture eventually turned to pure ecstasy.

SWIM would love to try 5-MeO-DMT.
