Adderall dose and weight

Would they prescribe a higher dose for someone who weighs more? I weigh
170 and I have a feeling that a 5 mg dose wouldn't even be enough to
controll ADD, especially with the adderall XR.

5mg should be enough for a person of your mass but maybe not in the XR pills.



ask your doctor for maybe a 7.5 or 10 in the XR

damn they only gave you 5 mg??? i got 20mg and i weigh 130! do you have a very mild case od add or something? i would go ahead and try the 5mg but i can't believe that small of a dosage would do much for you. i'm guessing that your gonna have to give your doctor a call.

a smart doctor will precribe you a low dose at first, even a dose that
may not fix the problem. What he could be doing is starting you low
and upping it slowly. The reason i think that he might be doing this
is that. The idea is to give you a tolerance slowly so you dont get
the effects of speed. If they were to give you 30 mg xr pills you
would deffenantly feel the effects of the speed, the doctors dont
watn this, because if you feel it once or twice, and then it starts to
fade with tolerance, you may start upping the dose. Like that
woman in requiem for a dream, the one who took diet pills adn
became a tweeker.

Damn, I got 18 mg concerta. She said she's starting me on the lowest
dose and on concerta because I have a history if anxiety and concerta
has a lower chance of giving me an anxiety attack. I've only had one
anxiety attack in my life and that was like two years ago.



I took three of the concerta's at once... it was awesome.

well i dont have aderall but im prescribed dexedrine, still amphetamine(duh). i weight around 138 5 foot 7and am prescribed 10 mg slow release daily, when i was very young i took a quick release 5 mg triangle tablet and the slow release. anyway my doctor told me that the 10 mg for my bodyweight is unbeleiveably low and u weight decently more than i do so i also doubt 5mg would treat add, after starting to use it recreationally my 10 mg does not help 1 bit anymore. but i dont use it for the right reasons anymore anyway, i can cope with my add quite well and have learned to control it.

You do mean 5mg, three times a day, don't you? Or 5mg/3 = 1,6mg, three times a day?

I weigh 67kg (don't know how much lbs that is) and am on 3 x 7.5mg = 22.5mg a day, and it's well, not perfect, but enough, with added hard work to control my add. I could get 3 x 10, but I already got heart probs.

Actually in a few mins. SWIM is undecided how to take them. He is thinking of swallowing one, snorting the other. Maybe crush them both, though. Maybe half swallow, half crush+swallow on one and a full crush and snort on the other?
Any recommendation for SWIM (quick, haha)?

Has SWIY ever taken Adderall before? SWIM would say if you're up to the task, crush both and swallow or dissolve in a glass of water and drink. Good luck figuring out a way to crush the beads if you haven't done it before, heh. Total pain in the ass.

Yeah SWIM heard about the pain in the ass crushing. Well he took one of them today orally, no crushing. Smoked a bit of pot. Feeling very nice. Subtle, but SWIM is loving it. Very talkative. Just went out to the pub with his parents and couldn't stop chatting for the life of him! He said he might crush up the other one and either admire it untill tomorrows work day, snort half or full now. Maybe he should sublingual? Actually SWIM said he was in the mood for a good line, maybe he'll do little bumps now and then. He has plenty of valium for the comedown, so he's not worried about getting to sleep tonight.
Hows the next day? Any hangover, or anything other than slight paranoia, anxiety (again, valium will help SWIM there)?
Anyway, SWIM will be around and I'll be posting for him, probably throughout the night as he has nothing to do. Maybe work on his artwork or draw. Play a DS maybe.

P.S. yes, SWIM has taken, I believe, 10-20mg once before, snorted. Regular blue kind, not XR. He doesn't remember all that well how it was, less intense than this, though. It was much more subtle, but he enjoyed it still. Right now he's enjoying this measly 20mg tremendously! Maybe he should save it for tomorrow. Ok, this is it again, no more rambling!

(SWIM said a decent method for crushing is to have a little metal lid about the size of a credit card, spread the beads out, put the card on top and take a big marble and keep rolling around, remove the card, sweep up your pile, repeat. When it gets fine enough a razor blade in machine-gun rat-tat-tap mode works to get it super fine. SWIM will enjoy himself making this powder as fine as possible, because it's so damn fun right now.)

B)Stay home, smoke some bowls, get some stuff done, maybe do some artwork and play games.

"Still hyped up. Every now and then it fades and I get a bit anxious, but then bursts back in with euphoria and happiness again. Just took 5mg Valium to help with that, and I'm about to smoke a bowl. SWIM wishes adderall XR lasted about 5 days instead of like half a day. Still feelin good (says SWIM) but I can feel the 'oh no its leaving, I wish I had more!' thought process. Hell, I doubt it'll leave SWIM for a while anyway, afterall he did take another 20mg up the schnoz an hour and a half ago. SWIM feels like snorting it did less than just swallowing it would. Don't think it was worth crushing up all those little beads. Next time he'll just swallow the tablet. Maybe he'll try bombing it or something. But I think he'd rather have a little less of a rush for a longer duration.
Ok you know what. I'm going to be laughing at this thread, seeing my million long posts. haha. Oh boy what a night

Ok, so the effect seem to be fading. SWIM ended up taking about 15mg valium, as the comedown was getting uncomfortable. Lasted a good 9-10 hours of peaking, still feeling the effects a little. Getting pretty tired. Don't feel like typing 9,999,999 words a minute. Smoking a bowl, maybe SWIM'll take another 5-10mg to ensure sleep. He really wishes he could find a steady hookup for it. He received them from a friend who was very hesitant to part with them, as she takes them for the actual medinal qualities. Can't ask her for anymore really, or that often. I'm sure SWIM'll find some eventually. It sure would be LOVELY to have for work.
Anyway: SWIM reaaaaally enjoyed himself. Talked to 5-10 people on AIM, every window had like 10 of my lines per each of theirs, it was kind of funny. Plus SWIM was posting on forums, in this chat room with a cool dude. SWIMs keyboard is saying "EF YOU, leave me alone!" right now. Prolly gonna chill and smoke a bowl in bed and watch SLC Punk. As you can tell by the rambling posts, SWIM loved the stuff. Hows the tolerance with it?

swim would always space 2 xr's out over 2 days, since he'd invariably need one to help wake up the next day, even with benzos. swim also finds that parachuting works as well if not better than snorting with the xr's for some reason.

damn SWIM doesn't feel like workin today. Body is kinda sore, tired as hell. SWIM just wants to sit here today and take a couple benzos and smoke bud and kinda recoop. Boy, SWIM was pretty spun last night! SWIM handled these pretty well, maybe even a little more sensitive, but when SWIM tried propylhexedrine, what went wrong? I don't know if you saw my thread, but SWIM took it and got a SEVERE head ache that brough him to tears, but after some benzos it was THE BEST high ever. Maybe it was a freak day. I'm sure propylhexedrine isn't the best amphetamine to be abusing anyway. SWIMs on a new mission, though!

Well, my boss is VERY cool. He basically says it's up to me if I wanna come in, if not, see ya tomorrow. I SHOULD go in, but I get paid everyday and I don't have any outlandish debts, nothing that can't be paid over the span of a month or so.
Anyway, since SWIM knows how amphetamine (dextroamphetamine?) feels he can compare. SWIM enjoyed the Adderall XR more, ONLY because it seems reliable, cleanish, and good duration. Propylhexedrine came in a close second. If it weren't for that one nasty headache I got. SWIM wants to try it again but hes afraid. The pain was so bad he was brought to tears...

Anyway, now SWIM wants to get back into chemistry and synthesize some methcathinone, or methamphetamine. SWIMs a bit weary on the meth, only because he knows how addictive he can be. But he does have a good head on his shoulders, and friends will let SWIM know if he is acting badly or looks like he needs help. But it would be SO convinient, ya know? Hundred bucks could get SWIM the materials and crap, then it's just buying the pills. So cheap compared to how much you get.

Either that or find someone to hook SWIM up once or twice a week (which will be very hard).

So, yesterday I did around 120mg of adderall, over around 8 hours. Bascially did 20mg every hour, had the euphic feeling for the whole time

But, I didnt realize how close I was to ODing. I nearly concience like 3 times...

- Got up to take a piss, on way back to my room I like froze. I was filled with this numb/intense dizzyness. I remember I went in to tunnel vision. I closed my eyes and I could see crazy patterns. After about 60 seconds I felt normal and kept walking...Thought it odd, but didnt realize my blood pressure may have been getting fucked.

- I was in bathroom again (God, I had to piss like 50 times that day lol) and all the sudden my heart just starts racing. It was pretty overwhelming, but as soon as it started, it went away. Lasted for maybe 5 seconds.

- I was listenting to my music, and all the sudden it sounded kind of strange..took off earphones and it sounded wierd..The fans on my 2 computers and network switch seemd really loud. After maybe 20 seconds it went away. Didnt think anything of it - thought it was due to overlistening of iPod.

When I was coming down, I realized one second that I was like, drenched in sweat. I wondered if I was sweating all along. I also noticed that my jaw started clenching...And my various other physical ailments started bitching, stomach was bothering me and such.

Soo..Here are my questions:
A.) For someone whom is 6'4 220 pounds, what is a safe dose to do by route of insuffilation?
B.) How can I make the come down less 'bad'. Happens slowly, but the euphoira and blissfullness and peace (I have ADD, so it calms me down..its amazing ) become replaced with a kind of 'harsh' hyper feeling.
