Experiences - Swim's dmt makes him think he's activated it ?

This isn't EXACTLY an experience on dmt but along similar lines.

Recently swim has been attempting all the third eye exercies, usually before going to bed as he has read that this is the easiest time to do it.

Last night swim was attemping it whilst lying down in bed, not really attempting a dmt release but just seeing what visuals could be achieved.

However, swim's dream was that he was lying in bed doing this and began to trigger what felt like a dmt release. There were shakes and vibrations all up his body and swim's vision, although his eyes were closed, started going very blurry until he couldn't see anything.

Swim doesn't remember anything after that so it was obviously just a dream. But could this be helping swim reach his goal or just his brain teasing him?
