Post Prescription Dihydrocodeine Continuation & IBS

Swim has been prescribed Dihydrocodeine on several occasion's for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Swim didn't quite recognise the recreational value of Dihydrocodeine in the begin as it helped his IBS, but now likes to take it at weekends for its recreational value. However because swim has been prescribed Dihydrocodeine before and is now running out this time round, he wants to make sure he can obtain some more next time he visits his GP.

SWIM would appreciate any advice on this issue, thank you.

Re: Prescription Dihydrocodeine Continuation & IBS

Hello,adroit.......IBS is a miserable affliction in the first place,so hope swiy is well.
Anyway....going to your GP and explaining swiy has used up his/her current supply on a recent flare-up and swiy would like to have more on hand in case of future problems does not sound to unreasonable.....
If swiy has worked on building up some trust with the GP that should be ok.........
