No More Fun With Amp
SWIM has used pretty much every kind of non-meth, amphetamine pill that was out there. He used to really enjoy about 45mg of dex, but now when he takes any sort of amphetamine, excluding Methylphenidate and Dexmethylphenidate, he feels very euphoric and all the usual speedy excitement, but after a a couple hours he feels extremely depressed and just not right. I know this isnt a come down because all these medications are time release and I know what a comedown is like. I also get very paranoid and sometime see shadow men at night. Is this just too much speed usage? Please help and sorry to ramble and tweaking, but with the bad effects.

Re: No More Fun With Amp
SWIM thinks SWIY needs a break. Addiction is a bitch, and amphetamine tolerance gets nasty quick... so unless SWIY is in the middle of final exams SWIM thinks you should lay off for a month or two to give your body/mind a break.

Re: No More Fun With Amp
SWIM thought the same thing and took a long break, with 3 days of L-Dopa treatment to stabilize dopamine levels, but after being completely clean, SWIM found a 70mg Vyvanse and took it with the same depressing effects. I guess SWIM's brain doesnt agree with amphetamines anymore...is that possible?

Re: No More Fun With Amp
With any drug, whenever one has to take more to achieve the same high, and that high still isn't the same, it's time to lay off for a while. That's the only remotely safe method. Otherwise swiy is looking down a dangerous road full of fucking up his life and potential overdoses and wasted money.

Re: No More Fun With Amp
almost sounds like acute amphetamine psychosis. How long has swiy been using consistantly? and how are the sleep/eating habits? malnurishment can be rough on the mind, and maybe your body's trying to tell swiy that it's not good for him.

Re: No More Fun With Amp
Swim only suffered amphetamine psychosis temporarily after extreme sleep deprivation and a lack of food for more than couple days, assisted with high doses.
The first time he hallucinated from the stuff was after snorting 100mg at once. It goes away with most people after enough sleep...if it seems permanent...lay off and go to a shrink please. |

Re: No More Fun With Amp
SWIM's sleep and eating habits are good now, and with proper rest the shadow men went away. I know that good nutrition, sleep, and being sober helps everything, but I really wasn't using THAT much...I guess SWIM's body just can't take speed.
