Re: benadryl help

Expect to drift into a dark hole that nothing can escape except the essence of your thoughts; so warped by the drug that they will be nothing but neutral and lethargic.

Oh, and your room will re-arrange itself and jiggle when you look at it. You will get paranoid, try not to think about evil things.

Just because SWIY dislikes a substance, does not mean that someone else cannot find enjoyment or knowledge from an experience such as this.

Calm down dude, I wouldn't be lurking around this forum if I was against Deleriants. Its pretty much concrete at small dosages like his he will only experience extreme fatigue, sorry for implying he wouldn't like that I guess?

Re: benadryl help

wow. I hate kids that pop a shitload of pills, then ask for help. what xxkyor what ever your name is deserves is a horrible time. But you'll see things that aren't real, even though they seem very real. You'll drift in and out of random places, all that you've been to frequently. What I suggest is that you go to bed. Just lay down, close your eyes, and don't worry, you won't move. you think you might, people might even enter your room, but remember your high. Its tough though. And to the worst of luck.

Re: benadryl help

When SWIM did his first Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) experiments, SWIM weighed close to what you weigh, and from SWIM's experience 250mgs has the following effects.
  • Heavyness in legs
  • Extreme dry-mouth
  • A constant feeling for tiredness
  • Inability to sleep despite being extremely tired
  • Small objects have the potential to appear to be moving and/or grow legs to facilitate the moving (Such as a black speck appearing to move in place and when viewed closely appearing to have ant-type legs)
  • A very faint / light covering of slime over walls when viewed in decent lighting
  • Slight problems in remembering recent events (such as what exactly happened during SWIY's Diphenhydramine trip)
You may also get slight audio hallucinations in addition to the above effects, but this was not personally experienced by SWIM until larger doses.

A word of advise, No matter what your current situtation is, using Benadryl as a means of escapism is not the way to go. Things will get better with time.

Re: benadryl help

It's clear this wasn't an appropriate way to ask a question of this type. Obviously, perusing experience reports found on this and other sites (erowid, for example) would've been the common-sense approach to any new drug. It's generally silly to shoot first and ask questions later - especially with drugs characterized as deliriants.

That said, these compounds will consistently generate extraordinarily realistic visual/auditory/tactile hallucinations - not psychedelic in nature. It'll be quite difficult to distinguish between 'real' and hallucination. A fellow chimp, relatively well versed in psychedelics & dissociatives - whom I respect quite a bit - had an experience (225mg, 140lbs.) with a perceived hive of scorpions living behind his bed. He spent a good 2.5 hours with the back of a broom trying to kill 'em all, only to find a trove of spiders thriving underneath his bed. Each exoskeleton he crushed, he felt every aspect of actually crushing the organisms. Had to take a fairly high dose alprazolam to relieve himself of the fight-or-flight that ensued. Says he'll never take this compound again - even at recommended doses. Swears that he can still conjure images of swarming scorpion carapaces when he looks behind his bed - I think he's exaggerating a bit here .

With 250mg, expect to see and hear things that aren't real. Try and focus on relaxing. Keep breathing rhythmic, regular, and deep. Stretching helps. This really isn't a commonly pleasant compound in high doses, so anyone seeking a positive experience will have to work comparatively harder to find redeemable effects; many (if not most) psychedelics induce states of euphoria, and many tend to stabilize or objectify moods and emotions. The deliriants tend to distort reality to such an extent that most individuals feel 'crazy' or ill at ease, so be prepared!

Good luck, and exploit the internet before ingesting next time!

Re: benadryl help

oh yea, forgot about the memory loss. And the lack of coordination. False walls are a bitch! But swim remembers getting up at a point, walking, stopping and wondering why the hell he got up. then just layed right back down, and then remembered, and repeated the process.

Re: benadryl help

okay so SWIM procrastinated a bit to give the low-down on what happened but about in hour later SWIM said they had seen lights flashing in their room more than normal (SWIM has a carbon monoxide detector that blinks) and SWIM's thoughts were said to be realistic. SWIM says they will try same does again.
