Is this the road to problems

SWIM is having problems understanding the role that drugs play in everyday working life and the links between different aspects of every day.

SWIM sees links between religion, education and drugs.

SWIM feels on the outside of this society and wants to try and find answers. There are various possible routes to try, some options are harder than others. SWIM wants to find honesty around this subject to better understand how things really work. If anyone can post their thoughts/views here, it would be very much appreciated.

Someone works, they are rewarded. If someone chooses to use drugs to reward themself for their hard work and dedication, within reason and moderation, that is OK.

Someone doesn't work, is lazy and a procrastinator, is content to be dependant on someone else (host) or the public tit, then they are not entitled to get high.

Keeping it real and simple, this is the break down.

To the OP: I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. I'm guessing since you posted this in the "insights and mystical experiences" section, MK's economic/political answer wasn't the kind of thing you're looking for.

Could you try to make your question a little more clear?

Because poor people don't deserve to trip for spiritual enlightenment? I would think that we should at least agree that medical marijuana should be covered by medicare/medicaid.

I should think one would be more concerned about corporate welfare than private welfare. I mean seriously, what the loss in helping single parents go back to school? Even if they smoke weed what does it really matter if the can maintain grades and employment? Maybe it's what helps them. Who are we to judge?

Re: Is this the road to problems

SWIM has felt stuck in his position for the last 20 months, no work, people becoming more distant, finds it hard to socially interract, and now feels that all of his life there has been no help/support from the people around him. SWIM wants to find honest answers about the real society we live in, not the propaganda. Is everyone using drugs to help themselves, and if so do they help? SWIM needs to find answers urgently as he feels in a corner right now and time is running out.

Re: Is this the road to problems

You dont do drugs to get answers, and if SWIY does intentionally try to look for answers in a substance while feeling in a corner, thats a horrible idea. no good thoughts ever came to SWIM while in a bad mood, only bad energy manifests and your left feeling even worse than before. seriously, horrible idea. Urgency is not something often associated with trying to understand the most abstract of thinkings. That part of what you are looking for would be more appropriate at another time.

Answers can be found in sobriety far easier than in substances. I say stop doing what ever it is that SWIY is doing, everything, and then think about things for a couple weeks. Twenty months is a long time to not work, SWIM just took six months off (on his own dime) and now has a job. He appreciated his time off but feels better about himself now that he is working again. The new people and daily tasks to keep you busy may be just the thing your looking for no matter what the job is.
