--Trip Report--Mixed Ambien, Restoril and various downers

Hi all! This is Swivy's first trip report! She's hopes it is helpful. My disclaimer is that it is not recommend anyone be as reckless as Swivy was by mixing downers. If this is attempted by anyone else, please have a "sitter" as bad things can happen if one isn't very careful when playing with these substances. Now,Swivy hopes SWIY enjoys the report as Swivy put a lot of work into it.

Swivy's Trip Report
June 4, 2009
Stats for SWIV:
157 lb, 5'8” tall, female, age: 27
Drugs used:
Two (2) 10mg zolpidem
Brand name: “Ambien” in US – taken orally on empty stomach
Two (2) 15mg temazepam
Brand name: “Restoril” in US – taken intranasally
Two(2) Percocet 5/325 (a pill which contains 5mg of Oxycodone and 325 mg of Acetaminophen) orally
One (1) 15 mg morphine sulfate immediate release tablet – orally
One (1) 60 mg MSContin (morphine sulfate continuous release) – orally
Three (3) 10 mg Flexeril – orally
Three (3) Extra Strength Tums – chewed
Sleep Deprivation– >45+ hours without sleep

T+0:00: SWIV has the general hazy blanket of sleep deprivation draped over her mind, and has been seeing little blips and other small things in her peripheral vision all day. The southwestern style area rug in living room looks like it's mildly making gentle waves in the periphery of SWIV's vision when she's sitting on the couch. SWIV decides to double dose her sleep-aids to make damn sure that her insomnia and her surgical incision weren't going to keep her up for a third day in a row. After that, I ate 3 Tums.

T+20 min: Slight nodding begins, but SWIV finds it easy to fight back falling asleep and remembering nothing. The living room took on a very cozy, warm glow. Any unexpected noises cause SWIV to freak out a bit, but soon, the first teensy waves of the sweet, mild euphoria that was on its way came along and quelled the anxiety. At baseline, SWIV is so tightly wound a lot and loud noises drive her crazy, they feed into a vicious Stress to Fear cycle SWIV's battled with for years. SWIV is so calm now that she's completely startled by any sound in the quiet living room she's in. It breaks the spell of tranquility for a second, and then SWIV is reabsorbed back into the calm.

T+30 min: Nodding harder with “micro dreams”. Would start to dream with eyes open and it would feel real. SWIV would respond to something her husband said, and then look at him, and he'd look back at her like “WTF?!” because he hadn't said a thing. SWIV would go in and out of these tiny dreams about mundane, everyday things, thinking they were real, only to confirm with her husband that they were not. He was sitting with her the whole time doing work from home on his laptop and “sitting” her to make sure SWIV didn't do something dangerous.
Her muscles are like jello. Mellow jello. And her eyelids feel as if they're lined with lead, they were so heavy. When she went to get something out of the kitchen, SWIV kept bumping into furniture and walls and laughing about it.

T+50: Little sounds, like the tiny squeek of our ceiling fan, are very pronounced. SWIV is the bionic freaking Woman, aware of every little sound around her. Before SWIV goes out to have a cigarette, she feels the need to find a little bag for her report notes, pen, cigs and lighter. Outside, the crickets that are always there sound like they've tripled in number. It drives her insane because it was SO LOUD.
After the cigs, SWIV notices her body feels effervescent and tingly, in a good way though. Eyelids feel thick and bloated...kind of like tiny slabs of meat on this big tingly face. SWIV sits on the couch and the warm, happy, waves gently wash over her. An acute and very short bout of tinnitus occurs to SWIV, but it passes faster than it came. The shadows the ceiling fan are fascinating.

T+1hr: SWIV keeps hearing people knocking on the front door. Husband says that there is no knocking. Things like this keep happening. She feels like she has a bug on her leg or she hears kids outside playing outside. No kids. It takes great effort to keep SWIV's eyes open. She nods out while taking notes for her trip report, so she lets herself nod for a little. Starts watching an unknown anime movie in her head while resting her eyes, sitting on the sofa. After a while she takes 3 Tums to make her tummy basic for the pain meds she's due to take.

T+1hr 20min: SWIV takes her 2 Percocets to stay on top of her surgical pain and an MSContin and her MSIR for her chronic pain. She really hopes the antacids make the pain meds work better. SWIV is feeling so loving at this point. Feeling an agape type of love for life and the world. Head feels as if it is full of cotton. Decided to take 300 mg of gabapentin, another zolipidem (both intranasally) and another temazepam by mouth.

After this, the notes become kind of garbled. The only very clear word on the notes at this point is “SNACK!!!” SWIV believes she had a bowl of cereal and crashed.

Woke up refreshed! No hang over!! WO0T!

ETA: The entire experience was almost childlike. SWIV found the trip to be fun, light and happy.
