Theoretical question about constipation
It is said in the "12 Ways to improve poppy tea" thread that drinking tea on an empty stomach will worsen constipation. Something similar is said about taking opiates and not eating.
SWIM finds this rather difficult to understand. He knows that opiate constipation is caused by bowel activity decrease during the time when opiates are active in one's organism, due to which more water is removed from digested food. How can this be an issue if no food has been eaten at all? |
