Other - Odd coke bust at Chilian airport

A few days ago at Santiago airport a 29 yo Argentine woman was busted by customs.The odd thing was her suitcase[s] were made of cocaine set in a resin fiber,to be later extracted.Her destination was Spain.Police noticed her suitcases weighed more than the contents.Which made them suspicious.Few know Chile was the first major clandestine cocaine producer prior to about 1970.No link.Howerver search Chile cocaine,and multi news sources.possibly move this to news thread.Cheers, mirina

There are a few articles that can be found with a easy google search of "Chile cocaine". I'd post em here but I don't know if links of any kind are allowed. Very interesting indeed. She was checked because she looked nervous, that's very sloppy. Plus her cut was only 5k for transporting 15kg of blow? Wow, what a rip.

There was also not so long ago, swim dont remember where, but someone was busted in airport with ''plaster cast'' on his leg, but actually it was fully made of C There was pretty good quantity since its big piece to cover all leg and its thick enough also - u must imagine and understand what swim talking about.

Drug smuggler with busted leg is busted for cocaine cast

A 66-year-old Chilean man with a broken leg was arrested for trying to smuggle 11 pounds of cocaine into Spain — including a cast made from the drug.
Spanish police think the man's shin may have been broken intentionally so he could move through airport security undetected. He was sent to a clinic for an operation to fix the "open fracture."
His 2-pound coke cast was detected when police sprayed it with a chemical that turns blue when cocaine is present. Police said it was the first time they had seen a cast made entirely of compressed cocaine.
The man was also carrying a fake six-pack of beer and two hollowed-out stools that were filled with cocaine. He was arrested Wednesday at Barcelona's airport after arriving from Santiago.
The smuggler was sent to a clinic to repair his broken leg.
Spain is a key European port of entry for South American cocaine.

This actually isn't the first time Johnny Depp has heard of this. Johnny has heard stories about drugs interlaced in picture-frames and other artworks, mixed with various other powders, hell one time he heard about someone trying to smuggle drugs in a TV-set at an airport (didn't work obviously...)

In a business with as many money-greedy people as there are in the coke business, it pays (a lot) to be creative. All well, let them chase their paper...they can't take it with them when they die.

i read about that in a book, it was the russian mob who tried to smuggle heroin(not sure) from malaysia to germany, the reason the whole thing went wrong was not the plan but the fact that the guy transporting this tv confused the two fake passports he carried and showed the wrong one to the customs
