Codeine and dreams

SWIM evaporated some cwe last night before bed, and got some stuck on fingers so licked it off and almost instantly felt high lol. Went to bed like 5 minutes later and had some verrry vivid dreams all throughout the night. They all had to do with stuff thats going on in swims life and were very believable.

I found this significant because usually swim never remembers dreams. Anyone else have any experiences like this?

Re: Codeine and dreams

If SWIM goes to sleep while still high or a while after being high he always has very weird dreams. He wouldn't call them nightmares but they aren't nice either - there is a definite link between codeine and dreams.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Yeah, swims codeine dreams are beautiful, always, like you say, very symbolic regarding what's going on in his life.

Truely, Gods own blanket.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Can't say I've had that reaction, though I've never really taken more than 120mg in one session.

Not much of a night dreamer really.

More of a day dreamer.

Yes. this happens with all opiates...It always happens to swim when he falls asleep after doing some codeine but this almost never happens since the tablets he uses have a lot of caffeine in them (30mg per pill).

swim has never experienced any out of the ordinary dreams while using codeine, swim does have much more in-depth day dreams than usual though lol

Re: Codeine and dreams

SWIM does not recall any special dreams being had on Codeine, even though SWIM usually takes it fairly soon before going to bed. Swim does not remember dreams usually though, so perhaps it is that. Maybe my dosage needs to be heightened.

Cerebro added 3 Minutes and 18 Seconds later...

My is short for Myra, SWIM's fish.

Re: Codeine and dreams

My parakeet had one about cheerleaders right? Seven of them had letters spelling the word CODEINE on their jerseys, and they were cheering, 'IT'S ALRIGHT, IT'S OKAY, YOU'RE GONNA TAKE IT ANYWAY!'.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Actually swim had a pretty vivid OBE just last night following a moderately high codeine dose (180mg-230mg).

He "woke up" with a pretty severe chest pain, which was actually a "side effect" from getting out of my body.So all the sudden he starts rising from his bed until he sees a huge (maybe 30cm x 20cm) black (black as in jet black, not a black person's type of black) hand floating right above him while it moved it's index finger up and down.

swim was fully concious and wanted nothing do with it so he kept trying to move until he woke up (he was sleep-paralized).

..woah, that's pretty terrifying. Are you sure it was the codeine and not just a regular bad dream? Did you know you were dreaming?

That's the type of stuff that makes SWIM wanna avoid opiates before bedtime.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Wow, that's quite an experience Robo. I think I'd be panicking if came out of my body, thinking I'd died and maybe in some kind of limbo.

As for the black hand, I know I'd be screaming at that point.

Thankfully, you were not on LSD or you'd be certified by now, in a cell, writing 'black hand, black hand, black hand' on the walls.

Miggeths dream sounds a bit nicer.

Just one cheerleader would do Swim though - although in theory, its a dream so I could handle seven women. In reality, I'd likely float out my body and see the black hand as my heart packs in with the unbounded joys of a night in with seven delightful cheerleaders.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Swim's just had an amazing one. He was an electron, spinning around a nucleus in space. He could see a vast array of stars, it was incredibly beautiful. If he wanted to he could focus on the nucleus, stretch out a hand and grab it. At which point the out of focus stars would start whizzing around at crazy speeds in the background. When he shifted his focus away from the nucleus and let go, the stars became still again. He did this several times, it was really fun, like being in a gyroscope, but in space.

He thinks it was about control, he broke his thumb last week and can't really do much anymore, his subconscious was telling him not to take it for granted. It was just expressed in such a beautiful way, he didn't really want to wake up to be honest.

His dreams without codeine are so boring compared.

Re: Codeine and dreams

People were seperated into groups of ten, one person, usually the weakest, was nominated to be "The Doomed". They had an explosive device placed around their neck. The idea seemed to be for the other nine of us to convince the doomed to isolate themselves in one of the many glass rooms scattered around the great arena we inhabited, so that when they exploded nobody else would be injured.

At first things were quite civilised, people reasoned with the doomed, making them see it was in everybodies best interest for them to be isolated, but as the walls of the glass rooms became redder, people decided to limit their own risk even more.

A leader was elected to incapacitate the doomed, making it easier to get them into their death cells. It became clear the leader was alway the most bloodthirsty. Groups arose that worshipped the leader, they held ceremonies around the glass rooms and made observations about the many deaths that took place there.

After a while the doomed was straight executed, as soon as elected, dragged into one of the cells, where crowds of onlookers gathered to watch them explode.

Re: Codeine and dreams

In a vast underwater chamber I plied my trade, the water was crystal clear and the walls were virginal white tiles, it must have been 500 metres square and just as deep. It was my racket to launch nuclear weapons, I did this by swimming down to the bottom of the tank, performing all the neccessary checks and safety precautions, before placing the weapon overhead and swimming as hard as I could for the surface. I was able to breath underwater without the need for extra equipment, thanks to genetic manipulation before birth.

I was a master, many civilizations were destroyed due to my hard work.

Re: Codeine and dreams

Funny SWIM came across this thread, hes been experimenting with quite a few drugs(opiates included) over the last couple nights, and has had some of the most vivid dreams ever, and he can still remember them almost exactly days later. SWIM finds it pretty cool/interesting

Re: Codeine and dreams

Well, tell us about it then. My parakeet just had one about about his ex-girlfriend. She was in a Calvin Harris music video and painted up all silver. The music was something he'd never heard before, he wishes he had the skill the recreate it. He's not telling you the rest.

Re: Codeine and dreams

I was climbing up K2, the higher I got the steeper the slopes became. Eventually the incline became so steep I could not get any higher, so I started to look for a way down. The drop below me looked so precipitous that I was scared to even climb down, one slip and I would die in horrible pain. So, for the time being I just sat where I was, it was a barren scene but quite beautiful. The purple rocks jutted out through the low lying clouds, giving the squarking birds a place to nest.

The avalanche made no noise as it approched, and as it swept me off the mountainside tumbling into the air with nothing but rocks thousands of feet below, I regretted nothing.

Re: Codeine and dreams

SWIM heard about this a few months ago, SWIM recently took codeine and had the first dream in years that's ever scared him, but then it turned into a lucid dream which is semi-common for him.

Re: Codeine and dreams

M-ther f--ker! Swim got shot in the face with around 100 metal arrows, they were about 5 mm thick and 30 cm long. Didn't die so he had to pull them out one by one, there was no pain, but he could feel every one sliding out of his flesh. By the end there was blood all over the table in front of him, along with all the arrows.

His friend were stood around laughing at him all the way trough this, very repetative (which he hates), unpleasant, and humiliating.
