Swim followed a well known TEK converting GBL into GHB. Previously swim did not have any NaOH to do the conversion, so he was content with dosing with GBL.
Swim would dose 2ml of GBL and be happy even though it felt uncomfortable as it travelled through swim's body.
So swim decided to convert the 105ml of GBL which he had left. He added 55g of NaOH to 140ml of water(filtered but not distilled unfortunately)stirring slowly until the reaction had subsided. He then added 105ml GBL to a stainless steel pan and heated it to 104C. At this point he added about 90% of the NaOH solution into the pan in small increments until swim was satisfied. Swim tested the pH a few times during this and found that it was approximately 7.5.
He then heated this up on the stove to 150C until most of the water had evaporated and he was left with molten GHB. This was poured onto a tray and quickly began to solidify into a white waxy substance that swim had read about. He then weighed the GHB which was 152g and then added 456ml hot water for it to dissolve in, swim realised that he did not fill up to 456ml, but just dissolved the GHB into that amount which is wrong and does not equal 3ml-1g.
Well swim dosed 4.5mls of this GHB and after 20mins felt nauseous, swim had eaten about 3 hours prior to this.
Technically swim would have dosed less than 1.5g. Swim doses 2mls of GBL and can feel "tipsy", this was swims first time with GHB. Swim is unsure if he OD because he was in full control of his mental faculties at the time, only experiencing 40-45 mins of nausea which slowly subsided but remained until he went to sleep about 4 hours later. No other drugs had been consumed 24hours prior to this dosing.
Swim is unsure of whether he just hasn't got the hang of it yet and should start with a lower dose, he wasn't expecting GHB and GBL to be so wildly different and is curious to know other Swims and their labrats' opinions.
