Thumbs up Adderall XR and Quitting Smoking

Since SWIM has been taking Adderall XR (over two weeks), she's been smoking MUCH less. She's been smoking for a couple years now and usually smokes 8 - 10 cigs a day (Marlboro 100's). She does like to smoke better when she takes a BIG does of Adderall XR (60 - 120mgs) cause it feels really good to her, but only half a cig and that's ENOUGH. SWIM doesn't crave cigs anymore. It's weird cause SWIM heard Adderall makes people smoke MORE. Since she's been taking Adderall XR (30 - 120mgs a day) she only smokes about 3 cigs a day! Has anyone else had this side effect? SWIM's tried to quit smoking so many times (unsuccessfully). Now she's wanting to quit smoking again cause it's been so easy.

Of course there are some other facorts... SWIM recently stopped her Lithuim (for bipolar) and started taking SAM-E, Green-T diet pills, and caffeine pills. But she noticed not wanting to smoke ONCE she started taking the Adderall XR.

Could it be because the Adderall XR never gets her high? It has an opposite effect on SWIM. It calms her no matter how much she takes. I makes her feel peaceful, less restless, and helps a ton with her anxiety.

Thanks for reading...

- Chris
