Opinions - Question about tolerance

Hi, sorry for these posts i like to find as much out as possible about everything i am about or is taking!

Hypothetical situation, .25 alprazolam 3 x aday so total .75mg taken for however long for anxiety only, one day your anxiety is coming back suggesting tolerance but instead of increasing the dose you stay at the same dose, so you are experiencing withdrawal. Question, this withdrawal cant last forever because a) you are not increasing the dose and b) you are not dropping the dose......so what happens? Does your mind except no more is going to be taken, so do they begin to work again for anxiety or will your original anxiety come back unless you are cured by going out living life because of the drug....or will withdrawal just get worse and worse?

I am very interested in this because from what i have read if you maintain a dose and never go up from a starting dose that works for the individual for anxiety only remember, (quite important) you will never actually become tolerant to that dose, physically dependant yes but not actually tolerant.....Surely its abuse that causes the nightmare issues looking for a buzz and not just anxiety releif.
