I prefer smoking alone now

For the past few months I've really only enjoyed smoking alone. Sure,
I'll smoke with friends now and then... but the high isn't as good.
When I smoke alone I'm free of all anxiety and paranoia, as opposed to
smoking with people, which has always been a gamble with me.

Anyone else feel this way? Just curious.

Sometimes yes. I smoke alone almost every day but i usually only rip a gravity bong. I tend to spend time on the computer and spacing out when i smoke alone. Also if me and a friend split an eighth then i have 1.75, and at the end of the night 1.0. Then i have a enough bud to smoke like 5-6 maybe more gravity bongs. I will share one with a friend once and a while.

As for smoking with the friends, i also do this at least once a day. I will smoke with all my friends at my boys house almost every night. We will chill and watch tv. And your right the high isnt as good. But i attribute that to several things. First i say taht when i smoke i take longer breaks. What i mean by this is, i hold the bowl, take a break after almost every hit. My brother started to do this with me and i started to knowtice a difference. Maybe it is all mental but it's good shit.
And when i smoke with friends, it'spuff pass, orpuffpuffpass if it's a blunt. More ofa rushed type thing, everyone wants toget as high as possible and as quick as possible. Also it is because your not hitting green as much your hitting some wasted buds towards the end, while with yourself youare hitting it fresh to kicked.

Yea I get less paranoia when I smoke alone. When smoking with friends they are usually a lot less careful than me and have the philosophy that "if you ignore the risks they can't hurt you" type of thing.

So usually I'm the only one worrying about everything that can go wrong- which is usually a lot and I'm not an overly paranoid guy. We've smoked next to a police station, at school, in bathrooms, etc and there have been some close calls, but nothing beats me smoking with myself at the end of the day safe in my bathroom. Completely anxiety and paranoia free and like Muirner said, I can take it as slow as I want without the mad rush to the end of the roach.

I prefer smoking alone in terms of getting the most out of it and listening to music. Smoking at your own pace and listening to what you wanna listen to is a great combo. Sometimes smoking can be irritating around lots of people. Usually not though.

It depends who you're with. After a night out, for example, I prefer
smoking at the end of the night with a couple of close mates. I seem to
start out drinking with loads of friends/aquaintances, but I think it's
necessary to gain a bit of perspective on the night, so will usually
opt to go to a mates house afterwards for a smoke. Don't like doing it
around loads of people any more, though I didn't have a problem with it
when I was younger.



I've always enjoyed just having a chilled night in with one mate, some weed and some good movies.



I also enjoy smoking alone, or at least I use to, but am beginning to
find it a little boring now and have started becoming really
self-critical/self-analytical with a bit of mild paranoia when I smoke
it by myself. The "high" factor seems to have gone, so I'm giving it a
break for a couple of weeks. I'm on day four now, it's actually quite
hard going. I just don't know what to do with myself in the evening
anymore.

It is a delecate balance between the relaxation/comfort factor of
smoking alone or with just one or two other people and the social
factor of smoking with a group. I think smoking with just one other
person is my favorite because you have someone to talk to and stuff and
its still easy to smoke at a slow pace... its ok to wait (or space out)
15 - 20 minutes between hits if your watching a movie or holding a
converstaion or listening to an album. But social smoking is fun too...
I went to a show at the "hippie shop" in my hometown once and we had
about 12 people in the back stairwell passing around 9 glass pipes with
9 different kinds of nugs all at one time <!--

When Swim was a stoner he loved to just smoke alone. He didn't like smoking with others because they would just come to smoke his stuff. Also, he found it to be a bit risky getting people together and gettin stoned.

yea i agree with sterling... iono but when i smoke withmy friends, one in particular (one of my best friends) will just bust out laughing or talkin to loud at the worst times.. i tend to like to just sit down and watch TV or something..

swim prefers smoking alone for the most part, mostly for the smoking at your own pace thing. but swim also thinks you get higher because noone is talking to you and its just you and your thoughts, idk sensory depravation kind of thing almost i guess.

i smoke alone everyday because i live in the country and have to get a ride in to town or my friends have to get a ride out to my house anytime we want to blaze up, but i find that i seem to loose track of everything going on around me and space out more when i smo0ke alone which can be more fun than smoking with others because when u smoke with others, u sometimes feel paranoid and it isn;t as good


although i like to get blitzed with my friends also because you have someone to talk to that is also high to share the experience with u which makes anything talked about a hell of a lot funnier

smoking alone is fun because you don't have to worry about the
complications of massive ganja sessions. you never run into phony
bastards who have never smoked weed and are pretending they are top
notch pot heads when you are smoking alone, you never have to be with
ultra paranoid smokers who are constantly asking if the spot is hot
with the cops. as others have said you can listen to whatever music you
want, and when you smoke alone it tends to be in your own house, which
is always a comfortable place to smoke.
