Need info on Focalin

There isnt a whole lot of info about focalin in the drug forums so swim is starting this. Swim ran out of adderall a few days ago, and just found an old focalin prescription in his cabinet... what should swim expect? How does it compare with adderall? Will focalin test positive for meth in a piss test since it has dexMETHylphenidate in its name (I hope you get the picture, lol)? Also, swim noticed the ingrediant in focalin, dexmethylphenidate - Is that like a adderall/ritalin hybrid... the dex coming from adderall and the methylphenidate coming from ritalin?

Swim has answered a few of his own questions below

Rise against added 52 Minutes and 35 Seconds later...

Well, swim took 60mg of focalin about an hour ago and its good stuff, lol. Not as good as adderall, but it makes swim feel really good and peaceful inside. The high definitely has a different feel than an adderall high. It has euphoria, not quite as much as adderall. Focalin also makes swim feel MUCH more speedy than adderall, which could benefit swim when he needs to pull an all nighter, but the speediness is getting a little annoying... Focalin doesnt increase confidence and well being as much as adderall - focalin makes swim feel like superboy instead of superman. Although swim is experiencing a few negative side effects that he didnt experience with adderall. He had a slight stomach ache, nothing much... he took some tums and it went away. And he is tense, especially in his abs and stomach region. He also has a slight pressure headache, maybe caused by increased blood pressure? He had a horrible taste in his mouth, gum fixed that problem. He is also getting a minor case of speed induced OCD/tourettes. He cant stop swallowing, tapping his fingers/legs, moving in general, and picking at his skin (swim also does this when he binges on adderall). The side effects are nothing major so far, the positives definitely out way the negatives. Swim is happy that he found his old prescription and will definently try focalin again sometime in the near future .

Swim noticed that 60mg of focalin xr (chewed) is not comparable with 60mg of adderall xr (chewed). The focalin is definitely more powerful at a 60mg dose. This is probably because swim has a high tolerance to dextro-amphetamine in adderall, and no tolerance to the dexmethylphenidate in focalin. Swim will take a lower dose, probably 40mg next time, to lesson the speediness.

Its been 2 hours since swim took focalin. His chest is tight, similar to asthma. He is a little lightheaded and his whole body is tingly, probably from the lack of oxygen. Next time swim will take a smaller dose.

Adderall is still swim's prescription of choice. Adderall positive to negative side effect ratio and euphoria, cant be beat by any other prescription stimulant. Swim would definitely recommend trying focalin.

Sorry for rambling on and on, but swim is bored and has nothing else to do.
