Extraction is slimy?
I read on this site that someone has had a good experience with Ipomoea Alba and I did an extraction with cold water. It is very slimy and I was wondering if this was normal?
CanadianFool added 161 Minutes and 10 Seconds later... I don't know how to edit posts. I read over my post and noticed I said it is very slimy. Well in reality it is only somewhat slimy. It's only a tad bit more dense than water. CanadianFool added 586 Minutes and 34 Seconds later... Also, I just read that Ipomoea Alba seeds are poisonous. Is this true? Re: Extraction is slimy?
I do not know about alba but in general ipomoea extracts are notoriously slimy.
And yes morning glory is generally considered at least mildly toxic (1) however some sources consider them major toxins (2). 1. http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/c...on/Ipomotr.htm (this source can be taken with a grain of salt tho since it claims that morning glory contains LSD when it only contains LSA, however some of the other egotine alkaloids present in ipomoea are considered more toxic than LSA itself producing more nausea and vomitting than anything else.) 2. http://www.plantsciences.ucdavis.edu...nt/Tox-COM.htm |

Re: Extraction is slimy?
The article I read about Alba being poisonous says
"Their lush, large-leaved vines flourish in the direct sunlight that the blossoms avoid and can be grown anywhere their close relative, the Morning Glory, grows. And, though eating their seeds does not cause hallucinations like the Morning Glory’s seeds do, they are poisonous if ingested." |

Re: Extraction is slimy?
SWIM will probably just buy a few packs of regular Morning Glory today. SWIM has never got to the 100 seed dose and will probably ingest 200-300 seeds. Wish SWIM good luck!

SWIM saw the ceiling come alive with loads of worms, had posters talking to him, floor looking like it was made of liquid, stuff like that. It's like a lethargic, less intense, less head fucky version of LSD. Although SWIM tried it one more time at the same dose and tripped out loads again but then felt like he had been poisoned and when he went to sleep he was sure he wasn't going to wake up. Which is why SWIM never touches LSA anymore, only LSD which is SWIMs favorite drug. |

Re: Extraction is slimy?
SWIM suggests that revea is by far the best choice. 5g ground and soaked in 1 glass of redwine over night produced excellent results. By far more palatable with less side effects than the other options SWIM has tried (MG, HBWR, Large HWR). Also the least slimy.
