you know how yuppies will say "oh yeah, i only drink beer/wine/151 for
the taste"? why is this not the case with marijuana? why are there no
marijuana afficionados? i would like to see somebody who smokes weed
and claims to not do it to get high, but just to taste the green green
ganja. do you think these people exist?

I don't know about that... It's been shown that inhaling 2nd hand smoke in a room with marijuana smokers generally won't cause false positives. They would really hafto bake the room out for someone to fail with 2nd hand smoke.

Well, the problem with that is, implicit in his claim is that he smoked, but
didn't get high. After all, it's not the health issues that the government
has a problem with, it's that fact that people are getting high.

I know a couple people who claim to smoke "Because they love the taste
and smell." Truth be told these are also the heaviest marijuana users i
know (SWIM not included.) I think that unless one had no appreciation
for the marijuana high in the first place this wouldn't be possible.

I completely agree dopefiend. I've asked around and have come to the conclusion that if you don't like/ never have been high, you won't appreciate the smell. Before I ever smoked I thought it was a disgusting smell. I've asked everyone I know who smokes and they agree/have had the same experience as me. And when I asked people who have never been high they didn't like the smell at all.

Yeah, I agree with sterling, before I started smokin I never really liked the smell. I used to walk into the bathrooms or change room in junior high and it smell so strong in there but I never liked it till I started smokin more heavly.

lounges...I mean as soon as you inhale into , yeah it goes to your
mouth but it also passes straight to your lungs. how does this work?

You hold it in your mouth. I assume this would be easiest with a joint or a blunt because you could pull it into your mouth and hold

To be perfectly honest, no.

The joy of drinking wine is how the taste accompanies the strength and body of the drink. The same goes for coffee.

Weed is different though. I would smoke something completely rank if it got me high.

marijuana afficionados i dont think so. marijuana is illegal and wine is not. i dont think that someone would risk going to jail just to taste the weed and smell it without getting high. although marijuana tastes great and the smell gets me drool.

Long before I started smoking Pot for its medical properties, I enjoyed the smell.


I have had MANY friends over the years who smoke regularly. I only partook Pot infrequently. I loved to go to roll-em-and-smoke-em parties. I would sit back and bask in the wonderful smells. One Strain would waft through the air, Mmm. Then, a Skunk smell, Hmm. As each guy lit his own brand, another smell permeated the room.


As each joint made its way around the room, I would pass it on. As one used itself up, another Fattie sparked. The new aroma came. What a fun time.


I have a friend, whose wife does not smoke, but she always wants to be there when he does. Her favorite smell is Train Wreck. She likes to drown herself in perfume first. She considers Pot a wonderful perfume (and I do too).


When I go to the Buyers Clubs, I enjoy sitting down amongst the dozen or so people smoking away (on a dozen different Strains). The smells melt together. I usually sit and enjoy the smell for 10 minutes or so, then I add my smell to the mix.

For me, getting high is cool and everything but whats just as good is the preperation before smoking, the admiration of the joints or whatever, rolling or packing or both and when you get sparks on a joint and everybody watches you as you take the first puff out of a newly rolled joint


so in a way i like weed not because it gets me high but because its an art and has a whole world to itself

Mango, i assume your talking about Royal Blunt Wrap Wet Mango. Those have so many chemicals in it. And honestly i think that some good weed tastes better then any wrap. Personally i only use a wrap when i must, like when i'm driving and rolling a blunt, then a philly or dutch is not possible.

I never disliked the smell or taste, though I have to say I love it now
(not to say I haven't smoked some bud that tastes like shit). One
of my favorite things to do with a big bag of chronic (besides smoke
it) is to just open up the bag and take a big whiff of the herby
goodness. I had no clue mothsmoking was possible, though I guess
thats useless info to me haha. As for tasty blunt wraps I don't like to
spoil good chron with those; it makes mec better though; honestly I've
only ever smoked like 3 blunts and like 6 joints. Bowls for me; whether
bong or pipe depends on mood and availability.

As for the chems on the bluntwraps, I wouldn't really worry about it. After all, they're meant to be smoked.
